What a find! We stayed here in July with our 8-year-old. The house is cozy and clean, with beautiful views and outdoor garden and seating. It is set in a wonderful village, with friendly cats who visit and goats to feed down the road (which our daughter loved). There is a terrific taverna 5 minutes walk (Mateus), one of the best meals we had. We met several neighbors and everyone was so kind and friendly. The wind flew through the house and kept us very cool, even in the middle of summer. Closest beach is 10 minutes drive. Location is perfect for independent travelers who want to see the real Crete. We would love to return.
