If you are looking for a private camp site without sacrificing luxuries, then we may have the place for you. A large Bell tent fitted out with a queen size mattress, a couch, cushions, firepit, lighting, kitchen, BBQ, bathroom with a toilet and an outdoor HOT shower. Experience nature with farm animals, wallabies and koalas all around. Relax with a book, or challenge someone with one of the games (Giant Jenga, Yardzee, noughts and cross plus more). Finish the day around your firepit.

The space
We have built this campsite using things from our own property where possible, repurposed items, made things ourselves, bought from locals or had things made. We like to invest in local businesses and attempt to use everything to the end of its life.

The tent is a 6M bell tent, designed to withstand any weather. It has been tested in a severe storm and had no issues. It feels spacious and comfortable. There is good reception for 3g and 4g, we don't have any issues streaming music. We provide a small bluetooth speaker you can connect to, or bring your own if you wish.

There are 2 fold out single beds if you wish to bring the kids (small additional charge for linen). There is power for lighting across the campsite and for charging phones (not suitable for plugging other devices/fridges into.

Attached to the tent is an covered outdoor area with a large picnic table and camp chairs. The kitchen has a small basin and a bench, with a BBQ and single burner for cooking. An large Esky is available to keep your food and drinks cold - just bring the ice.

The bathroom has a compost toilet and a private outdoor hot shower. There is water plumbed to the site from our header tanks, which is fed from our potable well.

The location of the camp site is set away from the road and our driveway, giving you a good amount of privacy. We only have the one site, so you aren't sharing within anyone.

There is alot to do in a short distance from the campsite. Somerset and Wivenhoe dams are about half an hour away. Lake perseverance is only about 15minutes just up the range and a much more quiet option. Easy access to Toowoomba, Hampton and Ravensbourne. Esk (less than 5 minutes drive) itself has races 4 times a year, a couple of great pubs, the garden festival in June, Country music festivals, camp drafts and more. Markets in Esk on Saturday and the well known Fernvale Markets on Sundays. There is horseriding about 10 minutes away and if you would like to do the Brisbane valley rail trail on foot, horse or cycle, local options are ready to help. The Trading post is an antique market that has alot of history, and well worth a visit, as is Sue's place. If you are super adventurous, you can jump out of a plane at Ramblers not far away.

The property has a number of animals at any given time. We have run cattle, horses, chickens, and sheep. The cattle often run free, and so love to visit anyone at the site. Don't be concerned though, they are all hand raised so extremely friendly. We feed the cattle and the horses in the afternoons, and you are very welcome to join us if you would like some cuddles. We also often have young calves who we are hand raising, and we are happy to have you come and help feed them. If you bring children, they could collect some eggs, and during the warmer months, may experience some chicks hatching.

(note: From late august to mid-October 2021 there are calves being hand fed0

While you are at the camp site, you may like to take a walk around the property. A short 400m walk takes you to a lookout and small dam. There are games you can use including jenga (giant and normal), yardzee (giant yahtzee), giant noughts and crosses, plus a few other quiz games.

We live on the property, in a cabin that is about 300m further up the hill. We are close by if you need anything.
