Great check-in experience
100% of recent guests gave the check-in process a 5-star rating.
Recently remodeled one-bedroom guest cottage built in 1920 and full of charm. Within 5 minutes (walking distance) to the ferry, restaurants and shops "Down Front". Perfect for 1-2 people and possibly a third. The Tiny Cottage is an off-the-beaten-path Maine experience. Peaks Island is a 20 min ferry ride from Portland.

The space
Tiny Cottage living with charm, amenities, and comfort. The furniture and appliances are full-size; the floors are old pine, and original bead board graces a portion of the ceiling and walls. When it gets too hot, which is rare, turn on the AC unit. The Cottage is suitable for up to three guests, with a queen bed in the loft and a 6x6 IKEA couch in the living room (with a wide base for sleeping one when the pillows are removed). The upstairs sleeping loft with skylight has a queen bed, desk, and storage. The bathroom, kitchen, and living space are on the main floor. This Tiny House is an off-the-beaten-path gem. NOTE: Two black standard poodles live at the main house on the property, you may hear/see them coming & going. Marcie and Rafferty live in the main house on the property with the poodles. We value your privacy, but are close by if needed.

Where you’ll be

Portland, Maine, United States

Peaks Island is an island 3 miles off the coast of Portland, Maine. There are no bridges or tunnels. It is only accessible by water. The ferry system is frequent and reliable. Ferry details can be found at Casco Bay Lines' website. The cottage is on Peaks Island, a fabulous community. People who've stayed at the cottage love the quiet dirt road, which is not heavily trafficked despite being so close to everything. In minutes, you can walk to the restaurants, ice cream shop, gift store, grocery store, cafe, library, art galleries, and ferry (called, Down Front). Another five minutes one direction and you’re at Sandy Beach. Ten minutes in the other direction you're at Centennial beach.

I live on Peaks Island with my partner and our Standard Poodles (we recently adopted an eleven year poodle, so now we have two). We love hosting and look forward to meeting our guests and sharing what we love about the island (and traveling again soon, ourselves).
