Lisa's place is perfect if you are looking to experience real puerto rico with others. There are all the basic amenities including mosquito nets on the beds (needed!) but what she really provides is the hospitality and great advice to make you feel at home immediately.

I can’t speak more highly of Lisa’s place. She has thought of everything! I’ve stayed at two other places in PR on past trips, but Lisa’s place is the best. I travel alone, so my needs are minimal. My room was quaint and nice. Lisa thought of everything to make us comfortab…

Lisa's place is right in the center of an up and coming area in San Juan. Calle Loiza has a great variety of places to eat, including vegan options, there's a 24 hour Walgreens on the street, and a very close walk to the beach. You can walk to many places or take a short Uber dri…

Lisa's is in a perfect location. Everything is within walking distance. Felt very comfortable and safe. Lisa is a great host. Just had to get used to cool showers. Would recommend staying there for solo traveler. Would definitely go back! Love the beach there!

Response from Lisa:
Dear Sharon, If you raise the handle just a bit, the water will run through a line heater. If you raise it all the way, it will come out cold. Unfortunately it takes a moment for the heated water to get to the shower and it only works when the water pressure is high, which has been a bit of a problem since hurricane Maria, as they are still working on the water system in San Juan... At least we always had electricity, thanks to my solar powered system ;-) Thanks again!
