Where you’ll be

Kaapschehoop, Mpumalanga, South Africa

We are fairly isolated, on the edge of the escarpment, some 10kms from the village of Kaapsehoop.

Our space is rural, and peaceful.

We often see wild horses, various deer, jackals, baboons, eagles and other bird species.

We are close to Nelspruit, which offers shopping, movies, ice skating, casinos.

We are en route to the Kruger National Park.

We are also in close proximity to Sudwala Caves, Graskop Gorge, Barberton, and Pilgrims Rest.

Adam’s Calendar is in our backyard - tours available on request.

The Stone circle museum in Waterval Boven also close by.

Nestled in the woods of Mpumalanga, lies a paradise, where nature is still untamed. I have an abundance of happy childhood memories that I acquired in this area, and it has been a life long dream of mine to return to Kaapsehoop and build a unique little "nest" that I could share with people who appreciate nature, and the tranquility it provides - food for the soul. Kaapsehoop Adventures will take you back to basics; we use alternate energy sources and are not effected by load shedding! We will ensure that you have hot water via our large "donkey" boiler. Light is generated by solar panels, and the stove and fridge work with gas. Wood is for sale at R20 a bag for those night time stories by the campfire to create unforgettable memories. Our 5 rooms can sleep a maximum of 20 people. Three of the rooms have a double bed and two single beds, sleeping 4 people. There is a room with 1 double bed and 4 singles, for families with small kids. We also have a honeymoon suite with one queen size bed. Some of our rooms have fireplaces, to add that extra ambience. There are separate bathrooms for males and females, with a shower, toilets and basins. There is a large kitchen, fully equipped with everything you need. Bring your own cooler boxes with ice for drinks. An unforgettable experience in the forest on the mountain where nature meets paradise.
