This breezy north-east facing apartment is only a minute's walk to iconic Thirroul Beach and a range of interesting independent shops, restaurants and cafes. View the surf from both bedrooms and enjoy quiet time lounging on the main bedroom's secluded balcony. Step into a cute retro blue bathtub and stimulate your thirst for nostalgia and a simpler life. Enjoy quality linen, beautiful local art and free NBN wifi. Ideal for solo travellers or up to four adults seeking a classic coastal getaway.

The space
Your 95m2 (including balconies) apartment is discreetly situated at the back of a harmonious complex with escarpment and sea views. We welcome you to use the Electrolux washing machine, Simpson dryer and tiny Bosch dishwasher. There is a new microwave oven, fridge and smart TV. So, while the apartment is simple, it has a sense of space and some quality features, including new crockery, cutlery and cookware. In time, we hope to acquire edible plants for your enjoyment.

Location

Thirroul, New South Wales, Australia

The apartment is within easy walking distance to Thirroul Library, Thirroul IGA (check out its amazing cheese selection), some specialty shops, a few bars and a couple of pubs. Thirroul Pool is 500 meters away, and then there's the user friendly bike track leading north and south - your choice. If you'd like a challenge try hiking to Sublime Point, or alternatively, indulge in a massage from qualified providers located in the main street. The bookshop on King Street is well worth a browse - Thirroul is the home of D.H. Lawrence after all. You might like to catch a show at Anita's Theatre or just chill with Netflix. The great thing is that you can hide away at home one minute, be at the beach the next then make a bee line to your favourite cafe without even getting in the car. It's a great location with a friendly community vibe.

Hi I am an English teacher by profession and a traveler at heart. My family is the one thing I can't live without. I have been lucky to travel quite extensively and I can honestly say I have never been disappointed by a destination, or the people I have met. From Asia, to the Pacific and much of Europe the only regrets I have had is that I live so far away. I love reading both fiction and non-fiction, music, movies and live theatre, however, I find it impossible to nominate favourites. One of the real pleasures of travel is to experience various cuisines in situ. Consequently, I am a bit of a "when in Rome" person. As a host, I love to provide an environment that allows guests to feel at home and in the case of 'Burrawirrai' take a step back in time to a more relaxed Australia. It is an enchanting spot and I will make every effort to ensure guests have a memorable stay on the beautiful South Coast of NSW. Finally I do have a life motto, or rather two of them. I thank Elanor Roosevelt for the first - No one can make you feel inferior without your consent. And the second comes from a fabled King who in one version of its origin was given the task of creating a motto that would apply in both good and bad times. His solution was -This too shall pass. I look forward to helping you explore the world.
