We had a wonderful two weeks in Keith's lovely Gite. Kieth was a great host and made us feel very welcome - nothing was too much trouble. The Gite was well equipped and very comfortable. The Swimming Pool was the best we have ever had in a Gite in France. The Gite is situated in a lovely hamlet in a beautiful area with lots to do. We highly recommend Keith's Gite.

Wow, what an amazing holiday! Right from the initial communications, Keith was fantastic. He always replied to emails promptly and was friendly and knowledgeable. This continued during our stay. The property is fantastic and as other reviewers have commented, the pictures really don't do it justice. It's so much bigger than it looks, is beautifully decorated and well equipped (coffee pot, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave to name a few). The games room was a huge hit with both the adults and the kids (our 6yr old is now a proper 'hustler'!) The bedrooms are huge and airy, with the two doubles having king size beds too. Thanks to the thick stone walls and shutters, it also stays pleasantly cool during the day. The gas BBQ, charcoal BBQ and wood fired pizza oven all worked brilliantly and produced some fantastic meals. The pool is amazing and was just the right temperature for a cooling dip without being too cold for the kids to spend literally hours in. Whilst the village it's self is tiny, this added to the charm for us. Locally, a boulangerie and bar tabac can be found 1.5 miles away and the nearest supermarket is only 5 miles away. We'd thoroughly recommend Angouleme (approx 30-40 mins drive) for shopping, sightseeing and meals out, it's beautiful and packed full of character. Also, there's swimming and water sports lakes near Masignac, Future scope and "Monkey Valley" are close enough to explore too (all highly recommended). We've had a great 2 week break and not only will highly recommend this place but will in all likelihood revisit in the future.

Keith was very welcoming and helpful. The house is large and airy. Ideal house for any bad weather (which we were unlucky to have) as there is a pool table, darts and many DVDs to watch! There are many good walks around the property. The pool is lovely.

We had a wonderful stay. Keith is an host extremely nice who makes you feel confortable. He is verry helpful. The house is amazing! It is so beautiful and you find everything you need. Around the house, everything is quiet. There is a big garden where you can enjoy the pool. I think we will come back to this place

We had a super time at Keith's lovely home which was just like the photos - very spacious, clean and new. The boys loved the pool table, table soccer and dartboard on the rainy day we had. The pool was amazing and we had it to ourselves with plenty of inflatable toys and water pistols(!) for the children. Keith was the perfect host and nothing was too much trouble. He let us have lots of information about the area. The village is very quiet and beautiful in the middle of the countryside but not too far away from larger towns and great restaurants yet only 2 hours from Bordeaux Airport. The local canoe hire place was brilliant - we had a whole river to ourselves (could have been because the weather wasn't brilliant that day though!). Local shops only 10 minute drive away. We wish we had longer there to explore the area and will definitely go back. Thanks Keith!
