These lofts are unlike anything I have stayed in before. It is not only a great location slightly out of the busy city but a complete experience to learn how to live within the Reversible Destiny Loft. Being out of the main city allows you to be immersed in the Japanese everyday life and away from the tourists. I highly recommend staying here as you will never experience anything quite like it. The manual on how to live within the space was also a great guide to the loft and story of the building. The host is extremely helpful and always available to give you tips and guide you to where you want to go within the city.

Host was welcoming and did everything he could to explain how things work etc. Listing was accurate and clearly explained. Neighbourhood was nice, a bit far from central Tokyo but still really beautiful.

The accommodation was fantastic and worth the hype. The architecture of the building was amazing and it was impossible to take a bad photo. The appliances were in Japanese however the host provided English versions of the instructions and everything worked the way it was supposed to: Wifi was fast and air conditioning worked well. The surrounding area was convenient and had grocery stores, 7/11 stores and local restaurants and the closest train station was a 5 minute bus ride or 5-10 minute bike ride. The host was fantastic and always nearby and available when we needed him. Bikes were provided and were essential to get around in so this was appreciated and the host provided us with local maps and information that greatly assisted our navigating. Overall I couldn’t find a flaw with this accommodation and would love to stay again when I travel to Tokyo. The trip overall was an adventure into a new culture and the accommodation complimented this adventure perfectly.

Staying at the Reversible Destiny Lofts was an incredible and unique experience! Matsuda-san was very kind and helpful, and I enjoyed getting to know him. The inside and outside of this building are beautiful, and I enjoyed the poetic set of instructions architects Arakawa and Gins wrote on how to use the space. I wish I could have stayed there forever!

Staying at the Reversible Destiny Loft was pure magic from beginning to end. Matsuda was very responsive via email, and his directions to the apartment were easy to follow. Everything was just as the listing describes and promises. I especially enjoyed the sunrise and sunset light in the loft each morning and evening. Having access to a bicycle for the duration of my stay was also wonderful. It made getting around to shops and restaurants a breeze. Highly recommend!

We stay here for ten nights during the beginning of winter. This place is really, really cool. Very quirky and fun to stay in. Everything is clean and the sunken kitchen is a great way to save space. The futons are comfy and the small balcony is private. The lumpy floors are something I've never seen before (trust me when I use lumpy as a positive adjective!). The orb shaped room and hammock make this place a truly visual experience. Matsuda-San was a terrific host for us during out stay. Easy to contact, quick to help and made sure we had an easy check-in. Highly recommended!
