This centrally-located room is ideal for those who walk or bike about in our High Rocky Mountain setting at 7900 feet in altitude. Surrounded by 13 and 14 thousand foot peaks. Wi-Fi, in-floor heating, wheelchair accessible, queen-size bed, Keurig, small frig, tv, enough off-street parking for two cars and a trailer , private bath. A hot tub is just outside the door. A third person can be accommodated with an inflatable bed.

The space

This elegant room is very quiet even though it is part of a two-story single residence. Downtown Buena Vista is only two blocks away. Jeep rentals and bike rentals are also with walking distance. Kayaking and rafting on the Arkansas River are some of the favorites for the water adventurers. Fishing, hunting, ATVing, skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling are popular seasonal choices.

Guest access

Guests make their own breakfast or eat out at walkable restaurants. They bring their own food to store in the mini-frig and heat up in the microwave. Paper plates and bowls and plastic ware are provided. A Keurig coffee maker and coffee pods welcome our guests. A new flat screen tv with remote control can be enjoyed from the bed or in the recliner. Free Wi-Fi is available.

Interaction with guests

Unless there is a question or an emergency, Aunt Bea is very low profile. She might be found working in her garden or mowing the yard. Her cell phone number will be provided at check-in.

Other things to note

There are over 200 deer that wander about the town. They might come to the guests' door or window or nap in the yard. They are fun to watch but usually will move away if you come too close.

We loved our stay at Aunt Bea's! It was such a relaxing visit and to enjoy a hot tub after our hike in the mountains was an extra little treat! Bea is very hospitable and was always making sure our needs were met.

Bea has the perfect spot in BV. You can walk to everything yet enjoy the seclusion of your own hot tub. This place is my favorite. I hope to be back soon.

We found the room to be exactly as described. It was quiet, nicely decorated, comfortable (softest sheets I've ever had) and great location. We walked all over town and neighborhood. We would stay again.

Bea's place is GREAT! This cute and cozy little unit was nestled in the heart of Buena Vista - close to Main Street. The unit is small but very comfortable - they have done an excellent job at giving you all the amenities that you need during your stay - including water, snacks and coffee! The studio is ammaculate! There is a hot tub outside, and a nice size yard - if you are lucky you may get to see a deer or two. Parking is easy and close to the enterance of the unit.

We honestly can't think of anything Aunt Bea's is lacking in accommodations, we appreciated her excellent communication, extra touches, organization and amenities - she really has thought of everything! The private entrance is wonderful and seeing the real-life Bambi in the morning was so sweet. Thank you Aunt Bea! <3 Ted and Annette Read

This is a lovely room with private bath with a separate entrance. Everything was very clean and the towels were big and fluffy. Bea provided coffee and snacks and we also enjoyed the hot tub. You will love her accomodations.

We loved Aunt Beas! Pictures don't fully do this gem full justice. Upon entering our new humble abode we were very impressed by the cleanliness and charm that we were surrounded by. The Colorado touches were awesome and hot tub and hammock made our stay relaxing after a long road trip. We appreciate that our hosts provided such a great retreat for an affordable price. We will be back!

I am a retired adult education teacher married to a retired mining engineer whose handiwork is everywhere at Aunt Bea's. We consider spending the day Jeeping or hiking in these matchless mountains the best we can do with our time. Our jobs took us away from here for forty years: New Jersey, Tennessee, Kansas, Virginia, and Ohio. Constant homesickness for the mountains plagued us and now we have finally returned.

We are low-profile people who don't plan on interacting much with our renters unless they make the first move.

We are proud of our little town and its beautiful surroundings. It is our hope that our guests will take wonderful memories home with them. Consider Aunt Bea's a place to rest and relax as well as a launching pad for whatever adventures you pursue.
