Yes it’s the most central spot in Beirut. Yes it's surrounded by the coolest, bars, restaurants, cafés, design and book shops. Yes it’s in a beautiful old charming Lebanese building. Yes it's newly renovated. But then again, it is more than that!

The space

This Studio is on the Rooftop of a building benefiting from the harbor view on one side and the cityscape on the other. It has a bedroom, a living room, a small kitchenette, a bathroom, and of course a nice terrace!

Guest access

Everything available in the studio is at our guests' disposal!

Interaction with guests

We all live nearby and are very resourceful! Any one of us is available whenever needed! Plus being a diversified group of young architects, art directors, event planners, and engineers with a whole lot of energy and enthusiasm, between the five of us, we've pretty much got everything about town covered.

Other things to note

We're on a primary street with easy access to a rare private rooftop terrace, with an amazing view, and great feel of Beirut.

We feel like home after only 2 hours! Mar mikhael is very lively and hip and Nathalie was very kind and helpful with everything. Thank you!

She was nice and polite. We couldn't make it to our flight due to visa issues - so had to cancel our reservation the last minute. (Nathalie was not reachable for a couple of hours and we are not refunded.)

It is really amazing place to stay at! Just in the very center of lively area of Beirut, and at nights the street is superbusy, as it's full of great bars & restaurants to go. Love it !

This is definitely a rooftop experience. The positives for that are that you get to see everything going on around you and it feels very secure. The negative is that there are a lot of stairs and the wifi can be sporadic. The studio is perfect for a travelling couple or a single traveller. For the price you pay, you're in the centre of everything on Mar Mikhael, Armenia Street and taxis or buses are cheap to get. Considering you are in the middle of everything, you'll be amazed at how little you hear at night so sleep isn't interrupted. You're surrounded by bars and restaurants and at the bottom of the stairs is a small market so you buy pretty much everything you need, including alcohol, therefore the holiday can be as cheap or as expensive as you make it. A few doors down from the stairway entrance is a bakery called Tartine and that's phenomenal as well. Just be aware that the electric does go on and off, that's not Nathalie's fault it's the area and just what happens in Lebanon so bring a torch. There is a washing machine so you could pack less and just wash your clothes there. Overall, great value and a good place to stay.

I stayed at the rooftop studio for three nights. The room was clean and pleasant, and the rooftop had a nice view of Geitawi to the south and the sea to the north. The location was top-notch, close to many great restaurants and nightlife spots, and well-connected to the rest of Beirut. The location was a bit noisy and the walls quite thin (and the rooftop terrace was also shared with the other Airbnb units in the same building), so you should be a heavy sleeper if you book this spot. Also, the ride service to and from the airport that the host offered was quite convenient, but also overpriced.
