Unwind in the beauty surrounding us here at the cabin. Towering trees, mountain views ,walking trails ,grazing horses , camp fires, star gazing , and plenty of privacy all on site. Swimming hole with waterfall near by, quaint shops, fine dining and centrally located for a variety of neighboring towns.

The space

Feel at home in our shared log cabin with three bedrooms, two baths. Of which ONE spacious bedroom on the second floor is for guests. The stairs are steep and narrow in case that is a concern. They are well equipped with railings on both sides. Bathroom is shared with one other clean and respectful person. Living room with wood fire. Dining area has wood pellet stove for warmth and beauty. Enjoy cooking in the kitchen, rocking on the front porch . Visit the horses and walk on our trails.

Guest access

Guests are welcome to wander and enjoy the total property of 23 acres. Horse barn, groomed trails, fire pit, porch swing, gardens and cabin . We want all guests to feel at ease and experience total relaxation.

Interaction with guests

Always a warm welcome and an opportunity to ask questions about area attractions, recommendations for dining etc.
Since often a night fire is an option for guests, either outside or in, depending on the season I would like to communicate that these can be social times earlier in the evening. Always consideration is given to guests to allow for private time as well. And, if a guest would like total privacy that is honored as well.
Other social times can be on weekend mornings over coffee on the porch.

Other things to note

The cabin is home to Ellen, Karl, Riley the dog, Lilly the cat and two horses.
We are mindful that guests often come for a quiet and restful stay so we do our best to support that goal for you.
Ellen is also an Equine Assisted Life Coach which you can learn more (EMAIL HIDDEN)

This is the second time I've had the opportunity to stay in Ellen's cabin and it was even better than the last. A beautiful, rustic, and simple environment finished with homey decor and a gentle host. Great location, not too far away from Burlington and still far enough in the hills to feel their magic. Highly recommended.

Ellen's cabin was beautiful, exactly as described. I wish we had more time to explore the property.

What a fabulous place to stay! Ellen's cottage is so charming and the surroundings are so peaceful and tranquil. Loved walking around and seeing the horses and adorable house cat! The bed was very comfy and everything was perfect! Would love to have a cottage just like this! Enjoyed going into Bristol for dinner and breakfast the next morning. Was very grateful for the delicious coffee in the morning. Thanks so much Ellen for a memorable airbnb experience!

Ellen's home is so special. It was beautiful, warm, inviting and the prefect refuge. I wish we had more time to absorbe her property and the surrounding towns. Beautiful, beautiful place, must visit, even if only a night.

Ellen's place is great and I highly recommend it. The cabin itself is cozy with comfy beds, and the rest of the property is beautiful with Adirondack chairs pointed at the mountains that I wish we had more time for. While Ellen' place is just off the beaten path it is very close to Bristol with a nice downtown and Middlebury is just down the road too.

Ellen's home is a cozy log cabin in a gorgeous setting. The bedroom is on the second floor, up some rather steep stairs - might be problematic if you have mobility issues. The room has a comfortable bed and two chairs...with a rustic decor. The bathroom (clean and neat) is shared, and downstairs. Unless you have to be going in the middle of the night, it's not a problem. We had a water jug and clean glasses in the room. We visited a little the next morning, as we looked around at the beautiful vistas, the ponies and the flower gardens. Ellen and the other residents were very cordial. Good location, not far from Burlington VT, Ticonderoga NY, Green Mts.

Peaceful, beautiful, quiet place to rest. Loved resting in the hammock to unwind from the day! If you don't stay here, do it next time. It's a spot not to be missed.
