We are set atop Refugio mountain overlooking the beautiful Santa Barbara channel islands on 20 acres of secluded ocean front land. This magical and unique 30' yurt/house has 2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom. It provides endless peace and harmony.

The space

This a 30' yurt attached to a small house with a master bedroom and bathroom. The entire structure is approximately 1200 square feet. It has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Guests have a private fully unobstructed panoramic view of the Pacific ocean and the beautiful Santa Barbara channel islands. You are atop Refugio mountain and only 10 minutes to Refugio and El Capitan state beaches. This beautiful property sits adjacent to the world famous President Ronald Reagan's western white house. In the 1980's President Ronald Reagan spent so much time here it was named the western white house.
A magical place with an amazingly beautiful view. Peaceful and private surrounded by nature.

Guest access

Guests have full access to the yurt and area around the yurt/house.

Please be aware of my neighbors private property. You are allowed to walk down the gravel road towards the paved road where you entered. It's private property and considered trespassing if you walk to the right of the gravel road. My neighbors have asked that all my guests not go that direction. They are very private and I must respect that. Thank you in advance.

Interaction with guests

There is a caretaker for the property who lives in an RV adjacent to the yurt/house. He does not interact with guests. Guests have their privacy in and around the yurt/house.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Adrian's place. The drive up to the yurt is breath taking. Staying on the hill top makes you feel close to nature , beautiful views. The place is well equipped with all you may need for a comfortable stay. Awesome experience!!

This place is such a gem! So happy we discovered it. I️ was a little worried that we might get a little bored since it’s pretty secluded and away from everything, but honestly we enjoyed it so much, that if it weren’t for work we have stayed a third night. A couple tips I️ would like to add. 1. I️ was worried about the drive up the mountain from all the reviews but it was not as bad as I️ thought. We did drive in a Toyota Tacoma though that can handle gravel roads and off-roading very well. It is not necessary to have an off-road vehicle to make it up the mountain though. The gravel road is not long at all and groomed pretty well. As long as you have a reliable car you should not have any issues. 2. Some reviews said the kitchen was a chefs kitchen. I️ didn’t bring any spices for some of my recipes because of these reviews. The kitchen does not have all spices and items you need. Don’t get me wrong though there are plenty enough tools and cooking utensils to get the job done. I️ would recommend bringing some of your own spices though if you are doing meals that use more than just the basics. I️ like to cook a ton and make a lot of gourmet meals. Next time I️ will make sure I️ bring all ingredients needed. 3. Make sure you stop to pick up groceries before going up the hill, there are no local grocery stores or markets. We stopped in Goleta to pick up food before heading up. 4. There is a house keeper that lives on the property in a motor home next door. He does not interact with guest, so you will still have plenty of privacy. 5. Wine country is about 35 minutes away, pretty easy drive once you get down the mountain. 6. I️ would recommend staying at least 2 nights. You really want a full day enjoying the yurt, views, nature and peace. We can’t wait to come back again! Everyone should enjoy this property at least once in their lifetime! Truly amazing place to stay!

Adrian’s place is amazing, it is very clean and it has everything you need, great entertainment system, music instruments, fully loaded kitchen, laundry, and the list goes on. The view is absolutely breathtaking. Adrian was very welcoming and very responsive with all our questions. Although I didn’t get to meet Adrian in person, but I can tell he truly care about his guest through his attention to details, I highly recommend his place if you want an amazing Airbnb experience.

I surprised my girlfriend with a weekend here and she started crying because it is so beautiful. Road is rough but passable, so be prepared for that.

Very unique remote place, great view and a good spot to get away from it all!

I love to travel the world surfing and experience the culture and variety of life. I enjoy opening my home up to others and sharing the beauty of the Gaviota coast. It's a big beautiful world out there and I want to see it all.
