Welcome to Skimbles Cottage.

Our semi detatched farm cottage is in the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the lovely Corvedale. It is on a working sheep and arable farm.

The cottage sleeps up to 4 people in a king (with a great view of the Brown Clee hill) and two singles that can be pushed together to make a super king (which overlooks the meadow).

We have a large fenced garden with our own meadow, and there is a 20 minute round walk on the farm by the River Corve.

The space
We use the boot room at the back of the cottage to come and go - it has plenty of space for coats, wellies, walking boots, pushchairs, and dog beds.

The kitchen is at the back of the house, which has a table to seat 4. It has views of the meadow and garden. We've got an induction hob, oven, fridge (with a freezer compartment), dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer.

The sitting room is a warm sunny space, with views right up to the Brown Clee.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms and the bathroom. The bathroom has a walk in shower and a freestanding bath. The front bedroom has the best view from the whole cottage - and you can enjoy it from bed. The back bedroom has two singles that can make a super king, and looks over the meadow. Craven, our rocking horse, lives in this bedroom.

Outside we have a pig sty, meadow, lawn, car park, flower beds, and a large open shelter for cars, bikes etc.

We have a circular farm walk, from the back of the cottage.

The Shropshire Hills AONB is famed for its fantastic walking and mountain biking. We are 10 minutes drive from Wenlock Edge, and within easy distance of the Stretton Hills, Stiperstones, and Clun forest.

Our nearest town is Much Wenlock, which has a bakery, butchers, fuel, and lots of lovely independent shops. We are also within half an hour of Church Stetton, Ludlow and Bridgnorth. For good food head to Ludlow Food Centre, or for independent clothes shops head to Shrewsbury.

Some of the best days out round here include Ironbridge, Blists Hill, canoeing on the River Severn, and walking the Wenlock Edge.

Our nearest pub is the fabulous Feathers at Brockton, which is in the next village. You can drive there, or it is a 30 minute walk through our fields.

We live at the farm, so are a couple of minutes walk away. We will probably see you if you do the farm walk, as you will come through our farmyard.
