Where you’ll be

Berrima, New South Wales, Australia

Historic Berrima Village is considered one of the best-preserved Georgian villages in Australia. Berrima is built in amongst the lush, green surroundings of the Southern Highlands featuring colonial sandstone buildings, an historic jail and courthouse and a Pugin Church.

Tour the village on a self-guided Berrima Heritage Walk starting at the the Berrima Courthouse, a Regency-style design built in the 1830s from hand-hewn sandstone, and stopping for a drink at one of Australia’s oldest licensed pubs, the Surveyor General Inn, built by convicts in 1834 from local sandstone.

Berrima's streets are lined with outdoor cafes, local shops and galleries. The town features an award winning restaurant Eschalot and Bendooley Estate is located a few minutes drive north where a book barn, cellar door and restaurant may be enjoyed.
