A new AirBnb Creation with fantastic wooded views! Escape to your own end of the road retreat! This cabin combines all our learnings into a romantic or family friendly end of the world get away, yet only 4 miles from the shops of downtown Blowing Rock. Modernly rustic, gather your self up in the bay window, enjoy the firepit, relax in our spa and prepare your meals in our new kitchen or on the grill. Sleeps 6 with 4 on the main level and 2 in the private loft.

The space
We are not a hotel but true to the airbnb experience, which is we want to share our location with you. We strive to keep our cleaning fees low, and we are generally 1/2 our competition on cleaning fees, but we expect you'll help us keep up with everything as you go as well. Some folks are looking for hotel standard everything or an airbnb just like they stayed at in some big city. Thats not us ... we are catering to those of you who want seclusion, your own piece of heaven and of course the BEST views in Blowing Rock. We are 5 secluded acres in the woods ... our reviews feature guests who enjoy that experience and the occasional guest who doesn't get it and worries they may run into bugs & spiders outside, gets worried about a drive on a mountain gravel road, or didn't get it when we said we are "off the beat path". We are off the beaten path, come in enjoy the experience, know what we are about on the way in .... and thats why you booked us. We also do allow some pets under 50 pounds that you discuss with us prior to booking. We do not provide any food of any type, including coffee, especially during COVID. Thanks for looking at our cabin!

Guest access
The road is a county maintained gravel road the entire way until the last 1/4 mile, and then the road is a community maintained gravel road up to the house. You of course have the entire house and grounds as yours except the Garage. On rare occasions we may need to access the garage during your stay, if so we will attempt to let you know in advance and use the garage door only to enter.

Other things to note
Pets are welcome if we discuss them in advance, including their type, weight (we allow under 50 pounds always, but ask us if larger), age (No puppies or kittens ever!) and number of pets (generally we allow 1, but if they are very small maybe two if they already live together), always with an added fee per pet, agreement to use a pet crate if you ever leave them in the house and always let me know if you plan to bring one in advance of booking.

The Cabin is in the Mountains. The approach to the cabin means that you are comfortable driving a road in the woods, including driving up and down small gravel roads. Our cabin is on a county maintained gravel road. During winter please come prepared for driving potentially on snowy roads.

Guest count - When you book with us we will ask you your guest count, this is then used for COVID-19 awareness and cleaning planning. You can not change or add guests without notifying us for approval. We reserve the right to not approve an increasing guest count prior to the trip, and we reserve the right to stop your trip if your guest count increases without asking our permission first. We hope you understand, but we do not just turn our cabin over, we require communication prior to guests being added regardless of the cabin’s potential for more guests.

We are providing you a License to use our Cabin similar to that of renting a car, as a licensee you are bound to the cabin rules at all times, and you forgo the rights of a "lease" or "tenant". Violations of our cabin rules can result in your immediate removal from our cabin, by renting our cabin you agree to these terms. If you'd like a full copy of the license please let us know in advance and one will be provided to you.

WIFI - Its Satellite based. That means it has a delay and is not ideal for 2 way communication such ZOOM. Second it means that during a storm the weather can cloud out the connection and your WiFi may degrade. Most guests have found it great, streaming is possible if the weather is good, and we’ve had guests work and play in our cabin with out issue, but we do point this out as there are no buried cables or fiber on our remote properties.

We are at the end of a county maintained gravel road that is on the exact same ridge line as “The Blowing Rock”. This cabin is a throwback in time yet completely revamped with modern appliances, a fire pit, AC, gas heat, a hot tub, Internet, direct TV, a private library of DVDs and more ... the views are 40 mile views deep into the Pisgah Forest and John’s River Gorge. From this cabin you can disappear yet be only 4 miles to the center of Blowing Rock at the same time ... Come stay with our new creation that we’ve just put on line. Thanks, your hosts.

During your stay
We require a dialog via AirBnb's application messaging to confirm all your details to accept your reservation to plan for your success and ours. We live on the road our cabins are on. So we are “around” if you need us. Being a secluded mountain road, we do use the car count you provide us to correlate with parking needs and just safety of understanding who is leaving cars at or around our cabins. Likewise rarely we may have scheduled maintenance on the cabins, road and grounds that we’ll let you know about in advance. We are always on line, you’ll find us, our maids, and our handymen just a phone call or text away always ... Access to the house is by a lock box and combination. And at times we’ll meet you live as well ...
