Westerville, Ohio, United States

Dry Capital of the World, Uptown Westerville is a quaint town with some of the nicest people and a rich history. The Anti Saloon League headquarters were located in Uptown Westerville during prohibition. It wasn't until January 12, 2006 that the first beer was sold in Westerville at The Old Bag of Nails. Now, there are many restaurants and bars that serve alcohol, including its first brewery, The Uptown Deli/Temperance Row, which is set up like a speakeasy of years past and decorated with prohibitionist portraits.

Situated next to our home is the Hanby House, named for the songwriter, William Hanby, who once lived there. Hanby is best known for writing the Christmas classic "Up on the Housetop." He was also a co-founder of Otterbein University and opened up his home for use in the Underground Railroad.

Westerville has a small town feel without being so small-town. Some walkable places you must visit include:
Asterisk Supper Club, Amish Originals, Uptown Deli/Temperance Row, North Star Cafe, Java Central, Schneider's Donuts, EL Home, Pure Roots, The Hanby House, Alum Creek Park, 911 Memorial, Otterbein Campus and Stadium, Westerville Library, and so much more.
