Cosy, dog friendly cottage in heart of Whitstable

Entire property, for up to 6 guests. Recently refurbished 1900’s fisherman's cottage to rent boasting 2 bathrooms, a log burning stove and a beautiful secluded garden. This cottage is ideally located just minutes away from Whitstable’s popular sea-front, harbour and historic town, with its array of charming bars, bistros and restaurants as well as local boutique shops and harbour market.

The space
The cottage has an open plan ground floor with living and dining areas, a stylish cloakroom (shower/sink and toilet) and a fully equipped kitchen providing everything you need to cater as you would at home should you wish to.

The dining space offers a dining table that can extend to cater for up to 6 people and flows through to the lounge which provides a comfortable seating area including a corner sofa-bed and a log-burner, with logs supplied. There is a secluded garden with plush artificial grass, paving, brick- built BBQ stand and garden furniture. Upstairs there are two bedrooms.

The master bedroom offers a king-size bed and a double window frontage providing lots of natural light. The second is a twin bedroom with two single beds which can be configured as a double upon request.

In addition to the second toilet and vanity basin unit providing a practical storage option the stunning and spacious main bathroom also features a separate shower enclosure and stylish free-standing bath.

Please note that the traditional stairs, as original to the cottage, are fairly steep and may not be suitable for young children. We can supply a safety gate at the top of the stairs but small children should be monitored at all times and are the renters responsibility. There is also a step up into the cottage and down into both the kitchen and upstairs bathroom to be aware of.

The location:
Whitstable is brilliantly located on the North Kent Coast, just over an hour away from London and within easy reach of Canterbury city centre. This picturesque vibrant seaside town perfectly blends the traditional with the contemporary, from its pebble-beach with a rustic walkway to its independent boutique shops and art galleries. You’ll be spoilt for choice regarding the fantastic local, fresh food with plenty of 5* rated seafood restaurants, traditional tea rooms and atmospheric seaside pubs located directly on the beach, in the harbour and throughout the town. A must-try are Whitstable’s famous oysters! In addition to the many Whitstable based top rated restaurants and bistros, The Sportsman, a Michelin starred pub, is just a 10 minute drive away.
Whitstable also has a great music scene and a vibrant artist vibe. You can choose a quiet weekend break or the hustle and bustle of busy places to visit - there’s something for everyone! Trips can be arranged for sailing, kite-surfing or wind-surfing, as well as boat trips out to the Maunsell Forts, the Kentish Flats Wind Farms, or you can take the Seal Safari.
Walks and bike-rides can be taken along the beautiful coastline to visit the neighbouring towns of Tankerton, Herne Bay and Reculver. The cobbled streets of historic Canterbury with its stunning Cathedral and the sandy beaches of Broadstairs and Margate are easily accessible by train, bus or car. Animal lovers can also visit Druidstone, Wildwood, Howletts and Wingham wildlife parks by car.
