This is a private cottage located on the primary property of Maria! My name is Katie, I am your superhost. This cottage is completely private, you will have the entire cottage. Maria lives in her house which is on the property but not connected to your cottage! The lovely 2 bedroom cottage offers 1 queen bed and 1 full bed. One bathroom with a stand up shower stall which is located in the second bedroom with the queen bed. You must go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. Linens and bath towels are provided. The kitchen is fully stocked and offers a microwave, convection oven, coffee pot, refrigerator and hot plates. There is no regular stove/oven but you will find with the large counter top oven and electric burners with pots/pans you will have all you need. There is also a charcoal grill (guests provide their own charcoal). Enjoy your private patio while you cook the perfect evening meal on your grill after a long day at the beach! In the kitchen you will find a stackable washer and dryer for your convenience. The living room offers seating for 4 and a smart TV with excellent Wi-Fi. Out the side door to the cottage Maria welcomes you to enjoy her fenced in back yard which is incredibly decorated with her personal paintings, she is most talented! Here you will also find the shared outdoor shower that will welcome you after a long hot day at the beach. Feel free to use the cornhole boards or lounge chairs in the back yard. Bring your bikes or rent locally! The neighborhood bike path leads you along the sound and to the Wright Brothers Monument. At the west end of the road you will have access to the private community sound front lot for picnics or fishing! Just a block down the road you will find the community boat ramp/access which is a great spot for sunsets and an easy walk from the cottage! Everything you need right here for an affordable, perfect, memorable Outer Banks getaway!

Guest access
You will have the cottage on the property all to yourself. You will have the private patio on the west side of the cottage as well. Once and while Maria may need to access her shed out there. To the east of the cottage the back yard and outdoor shower are shared. You will have your own private parking space for 1-2 vehicles only (these will need to be parked one behind the other)

Other things to note
⧫ You will be provided linens and bath towels. Also to get you started there will be a couple trash bags, a couple rolls of toilet paper, a roll of paper towels, dish soap and sponge, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, salt/pepper and basic kitchen needs including coffee/sugar! You will be responsible for providing anything needed beyond what we get you started with.

⧫ Check out instructions will be posted in your Airbnb and include asking if you would wash your dishes , strip the beds and taking your trash to the outside can.

⧫ Hurricane season is June to November, please see Airbnb policy regarding weather events: "Weather events, natural conditions, and diseases that are excluded from our Extenuating Circumstances Policy" There will be no refunds related to weather events. Avalon beach area is sprinkled with year round residents and vacation rental homes located just a couple blocks from the ocean and from the Avalon Fishing Pier. The Front Porch Cafe is just down the road, a local's favorite coffee shop! You will receive access to Bay Drive Boat Ramp for sound water access just down the street. Enjoy amazing sunsets form the boat launch. Your neighborhood bike/walking path is steps away and can lead you right to the Wright Brothers Monument.
