After the crazyness of Cusco and our very tiring trek from el Sacantay ( 5 days , 4 nights), arriving at JC's place was a dream! The place was much better than we expected, even though we knew it was a gorgeous place! The garden is pure beauty, the calm place and the good night sleep was priceless, the bungalow looks like magazine, fresh flowers everywhere, lovely and very friendly big dogs, to resume: A PARADISE ON EARTH!!! We will defenetly come back here!! Merci JC pour ton acceuil chaleureux !!!

This private entrance room is located in a magical garden home near the mountains. It was very quiet, clean, and we had a great time visiting with Juan Carlos and some of his family who were visiting from Portugal. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the plaza from the house, and you can follow an old Incan road to get there. We went horse back riding with a company just down the road. Highly recommend staying in this wonderful spot.

We loved our stay, the home was clean, spacious and had a beautiful garden/outdoor area. Laura was welcoming and happy to help us with ordering transport and lettin us know what sightseeing to and where the best restaurants were. We absolutely recommend staying at Juan and Laura's place!

First let me start by saying that this has been my best experience while using Airbnb. Both the hosts and the property are outstanding. Juan Carlos welcomed us and was always available during our stay, making sure we were picked up, on the way or back, making sure we were not missing anything. Furthermore, Juan Carlos provided advice and recommendations that prove to be valuable during our visit to Peru. The property is surrounded by a beautiful garden, mountains and river water stream. A perfect getaway for those looking to relax while enjoying nature and be close to all the key places to visit including Machu Picchu. The pictures speak for themselves. Juan Carlos has a few bungalows around the property all fully equipped and very comfortable. The room was cleaned everyday. He offered 1st day breakfast to enable us to settle in, he also referred us to a private chauffeur to take us around and back and forth based on our schedule. Overall we recommend all visitors to rather settle in Urubamda for proximity to most sites and lower in altitude than in Cusco, which could be a little harder to manage (altitude) for some. We hope to be back again for some stargazing.

Juan and Laura are incredibly warm, friendly hosts opening up a lovely spot for visitors in their lush, green, countryside home in the gorgeous town of Urubamba. Note this place is a good drive from Cusco to Urubamba but worth it. Ask Juan for help arranging for a taxi. Shared taxis to town and back are very affordable and the bus ride with locals can be a lot of fun.h If you are looking to experience real Peruvian local mountain life and get away from tourists, please choose Urubamba and Juan's home! From Juan's place you can tour nearby ruins, the salt mines along the river and walk to town to eat and drink with the locals. Their home/our room: 5/5 as described and more! We had a kettle fruits to last us our stay and a beautifully decorated room. The garden (manicured with flowers, running water under a bridge...) is a bonus if you want to relax under the sun, and play with Coco and Kalpa their dogs. More than anything, Juan helped us around town, gave us a phone to use during our stay, and lovely Laura let me borrow some warm winter wear I needed last minute for a trek. The nicest hospitality we have received amongst the many many countries we have traveled in! We hope to see you both in India. Muchos gracias!

I really had a great time staying at Juan's place. Photos are right on the spot. All the necessary amenities were there - almost like a really nice, super clean, cozy hotel room ! Love his garden and his two cute, well-behaved, friendly dogs. My favorite part is the host - Juan. He is by far the most caring, nice, and personable host that I have encountered on Airbnb. He went out of his way to make me feel welcome and making sure that I am comfortable. This means the most to me. Thank you Juan! Highly recommended if you are thinking of making a week-long stay here !
