Exquisitely decorated mews cottage overlooking the river and Oast House. Entire house at your disposal, three minutes' walk to the centre of Sandwich, and a short beautiful walk to the station and London. It is an upside down house meaning the bedrooms are downstairs with views of a 'famous' rose tree and flowery patio and upstairs is light, triple aspected and spacious. Everyone loves this house as it offers beauty, style, comfort and a parking space.

The space
The entire house is on offer. Although modern, it is steeped in history with oyster shells on the front of the house meaning it dates back to the 16th century. It is reputed to have been a potato store. It edges 'the rope walk' where ropes were stretched for the ships. It was transformed in 1940 and 1980 and has been completely refurbished in 2020. It offers 2 large bedrooms and a third library area that accommodates a third most comfortable double bedroom space but whoever you are inviting can fight as people from bedroom two will walk by you to get to the bathroom. You can also let someone or two people sleep on the sofas upstairs if you need more bed space. There are two bathrooms with shower and loo downstairs (one with bath and one en-suite bathroom with loo and excellent shower). There is a third loo upstairs with washing machine and dryer. The living space is spacious and overlooks the river and Oast house and many trees including its own huge walnut tree. The kitchen is open-plan and was designed by an ex-restaurant chef so it is the most pleasant kitchen to cook in. The whole house flows and offers peace and beauty. Outside is a patio area where you can sit on comfortable chairs and eat al fresco.
I can't seem to add my own photos but the utility room upstairs is a good size and the outside overlooks this wonderful rose tree. If you email me, I would be happy to send you extra photos.
You can drive or walk or cycle to the Golf Open as you prefer....

I'm a happy eccentric living doing airbandb in order to write my next book and travel meeting global visitors. I did airbnb in my last home in Canterbury successfully for several years and have recently moved to Sandwich.
