PLEASE SEE PHOTOS & DESCRIPTION BEFORE BOOKING YOUR RESERVATION. Relax close to nature in our cozy camper (parked in our side yard - but only steps away from the state park). CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST INCLUDED.
Gas grill, fire pit, wifi, stovetop, fridge, toilet, shower, camper bed (more info below), free parking for 1-vehicle. A short walk down wooded trail to river. Canal path down our street (for running, biking, walking).

*NOTE: A strict 1-car only policy.

The space
The 19-foot camper offers a ‘compact’ living space and can accommodate 1-2 people (driving in 1-car). Even though it’s compact, there’s plenty of space to rest, read, cook, or work on your laptop. We’ve shortened the dinettes seats to make the walking isle twice as wide. It gives a little extra space, especially for those bringing a dog/cat (please let us know if you’re bringing a pet).

NOTE: the ‘camper bed’ is a couch that converts to a bed with a 4” thick mattress topper (new in May 2021) which stays open as a bed at all times. Please be aware that its not a house bed. It is slightly smaller than a double/full sized house bed. If you are taller than 6ft, have back issues, or two guests that are both larger-bodied, this may not be a comfortable fit for you.

Our property borders the state park and is also perfectly situated between the Delaware river and the Delaware canal.

No visual distractions of neighboring homes - just the main house which sits behind the camper (our garage separates the house from the camper and there are no windows on that side of the garage - so it feels very private). NOTE: The camper needs to be close to house in order to hook into electric, water and septic system.

**** Please see photo #6 to view how close camper is to our house.****
NOTE: For those searching for a more secluded off-grid glamping experience near Upper Black Eddy, we recommend:

(Airbnb link in their profile - $147/night).

Inside our Riverwood camper is a microwave (for heating up leftovers or take-out) and a stovetop for cooking basic meals (pots and pans included). NOTE: The oven is not operable but there is a 2-slice toaster.

The bathroom (with toilet, sink and shower) adds convenience to your glamping experience, however it’s a small space and could be uncomfortable for larger bodies or those with injuries/physical limitations.

The outdoor area adds more useable space, which includes:

Fire pit (with 2 Adirondack chairs)
Wooden bench
Cafe table for intimate dining
Picnic table
Gas grill

You’ll have use of the side yard, where your car will parked and where you access the trail leading to river, park and lake.

To protect your privacy, we won't wander around on that side of the property during your stay. We have another rental (cottage) on the opposite side of our house and ask that camper guests give the same privacy to cottage guests.

Note: The walls aren’t very thick in the camper so you may hear us and our dogs since we live on the property, however, we always strive to be as quiet as possible when guests are here.

*FOR THOSE BRINGING A DOG: We’ve installed a self-contained dog waste station (next to the tree by parking area) to make it easier to clean up after your dog. Please keep your dog (or cat) on a leash at all times (we have cats that go outside for an hour each morning). You’ll find a runner cord attached to the tree directly outside of camper, so your pet has more room to move around. Just attach their leash onto the carabiner clip. ***Please let us know if your bringing a pet.***

Where you’ll be

Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania, United States

Our property is surrounded by woods and offers a view of the neighboring lake during autumn and winter.

It also borders the 'Giving Pond' which sits on a 150-acre preserved section of the Delaware Canal State Park. Its a great place to fish, kayak, picnic or just relax by the lake. Its home to a variety of frogs and turtles and is also known to be a popular destination for birdwatchers.

If you enjoy long walks (2.5 miles), the canal path (north) will lead you to the Homestead Cafe & Roastery, where you can enjoy coffee, breakfast or lunch while sitting outside watching the ducks swim along the canal.

You can also take the canal path (south) to Ulherstown Road and cross the bridge that delivers you into the quaint village of Frenchtown. Once you arrive, the Delaware river will provide a captivating backdrop as you spend the day exploring art galleries, gift shops, restaurants and cafes.

We're within 20 minutes of Ringing Rocks park, Lake Nockamixon and High Rocks where you can hike, kayak, mountain bike or rock climb.

The Delaware river is within walking distance and is very popular for canoeing, kayaking and tubing (rentals available for cruising down the river at River Country or you can paddle on Lake Nockamixon with rentals at Nockamixon State Park).

The property sits among nature and is home to many wildlife. You may notice deer, fox, owl, hawks and if you get lucky, a soaring bald eagle.

We are also surrounded by many bodies of water (Delaware river, neighboring lake, Giving Pond and the Delaware canal), which means you will come across insects. So be sure to keep the camper screen door closed.
