This is a spacious, well-lit private bedroom on the 2nd floor of a 3-storey house in a quiet, gated residential neighborhood in South Delhi. Your balcony overlooks the iconic Qutub Minar, as well as the beautiful Garden of Five Senses.

For those seeking it, this is an ideal getaway from the hectic city life. We encourage long stays. Our small library and warm conversations over delicious, home-cooked meals are sure to help you destress and decompress.

We look forward to hosting you. :)

The space
The space is a standalone bedroom on the 2nd floor of our private home. You would have your own private bathroom (adjacent to the room, but not attached). There is also an attached balcony.

The room is equipped with air conditioning and WiFi.

The space will have access to a kitchen, living room and dining area on the 1st floor. These would be shared with guests staying in 2 other bedrooms.

The living area houses some bookshelves which you are free to browse through during your stay. We would request you to restack the books when finished.

Please note that you may only cook vegetarian food in the kitchen. Non-vegetarian may be ordered in.

Due to ongoing health safety concerns because of the Covid pandemic, we are not allowing visitors at present. Hopefully this can be changed soon.

Since we don't have a doorman, we would request advance 12 hour notice if you would need to leave the building before 7AM, or you would be returning after 12AM (midnight).

The building unfortunately does not have a lift, so it isn’t wheelchair accessible.

We live on the ground floor of the building, and will be available to help with anything you need during your stay.

We look forward to hosting you. :)

Where you’ll be

New Delhi, Delhi, India

This is a quiet, gated residential neighborhood, nestled in the southern part of the city. There is a community park opposite our house for those who enjoy morning/evening walks or runs.

The neighborhood is set behind the beautiful Garden of Five Senses. You'll be able to enjoy stunning balcony views throughout the year.

The trendy and chic Champa Gali area (en route to The Garden of Five Senses from Saket Metro Station) with its cute coffee shops and restaurants is only 10 minutes away.

Select Citywalk mall in Saket is only 15 minutes away whenever you're in the mood for some retail therapy. The mall also houses a multiplex movie theater.

Delhi's nightlife hotspot Hauz Khas is only 30 minutes away, housing the famous names Summerhouse, Mango and Auro, among others.

The beauty and heritage of Old Delhi is a 30-minute metro ride away. Immerse yourself in the local sights, culture and flavors. You’re bound to keep going back for more.

Supermarkets and laundry services can be found right outside the neighborhood gate. Some are accessible via smartphone apps as well, offering doorstep service.

Local restaurants and eateries abound, serving cuisines including Indian, Chinese/Asian, Italian, in addition to several hot new fusion cuisine brands. Most have dine-in options, and also deliver to your doorstep through iPhone/Android apps (Zomato and Swiggy).

I was born and brought up in New Delhi. I studied Physics at New York University, and was working as a financial advisor in Bangalore for the last 3 years. I am currently on sabbatical at home in New Delhi, so my mother and I thought why not open our home to some interesting travelers!

I love learning about people, places, and how things work. I'm a sponge when it comes to absorbing knowledge. I've found that I also have very good observational skills, which I'm putting to use trying my hand at stand-up comedy during my break!

Through Airbnb, I hope to connect with scholars, researchers, artists, writers, students, business folk and various other professionals to learn from and network with, and of course, to provide a comfortable stay during their time in Delhi.

Looking forward to meeting you!
