The Josenhof was founded around 1714 as a rural estate. It was mainly livestock and meadow farm run on the barren floors. In the early 1920s, the farmers at the time opened a small inn with simple food and drinks.
Soon, the little inn became a popular hangout for travelers and locals. Especially the good kitchen and the warm original sound met the taste of the time. The operation was expanded, so the guests were also able to stay overnight. In the 1960s, the son Franz-Josef and Karl-Frwend (Fritz) Löffler took over the thriving operation. In the 1970, the old buildings became too small and no longer met the requirements for a lodging establishment. That's why the brothers decided to completely rebuild the house. In 1978, the"Hotel Josen" reopened. The two brothers successfully led the hotel, which had a large roof-burning fire until 2010, large parts of the building were damaged. Now, well over 60 years old, she didn't have the strength to begin again. The house has been closed.
Today, we operate the house and bring fresh wind to the Black Forest with modern touches.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
