Barn loft. Beautiful views of pastures & livestock. Large back deck. Put down your cell phone, awe the stars, roast marshmallows by the fire pit. Pool table. Barn below possible venue & small house next door additional fee. 16 miles to civil rights sites & Edmund P. Bridge in Selma. B'ham(I-65) 63 miles, Montgomery(I-85)38 miles. 5 beds. Additional $25 fee each over 2 adults. Rustic-No wifi, weak cell, toaster oven only, small frig, small hot water heater. All that said...awesome! See pictures!

The space
Large one room 1200 square ft barn loft. Rustic, but comfortable. Small house next door 2 bed, 2 bath, full size stove/refrig. Could host a crowd with both locations for brief (week or less stay).....or could be fun for just two people to get away. Barn loft essentially one large room other than the bathroom and shower. Shower is actually on opposite side of room from enclosed shower.
4 Bottled waters, breakfast pastries, small fruit basket, marsh mellows, coffee and hot chocolate available for first night. Stevia, sugar, salt, pepper, seasonings, utensils, plates, napkins, glasses, cups, sheets, towels, toaster oven, paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, dish liquid, access to washer and dryer next door, small container detergent, hair dryer, towels, microwave, coffee maker, crock pot, shampoo, soap, provided for short term stays. Large color TV with satellite TV, many channels. No Wifi. No full size stove (Large toaster oven only). The refrigerator is small. Cell phone coverage weak. Small hot water heater so showers for more than two would need to be alternated. You will have to enter and leave through a security gate and also stop and open a gate. Gravel driveway. Two large Great Pyrenees dogs on property. You will have to drive through area they are in, but they fenced off from barn. They will most definitely bark at you. Must be willing to be careful the dogs do not go outside of security gate (follow you) when you enter/leave the property.

Small farm 16 miles from Edmund Pettis Bridge & other historic landmarks in Selma. Peaceful, spacious, quiet......other than occasional train or tractor/truck driving by. 1 hour from National Museum of Peace & Justice, a monument to victums of lynching in the US, Rosa Parks Museum and many other landmarks. Great area for outdoorsman. If have hunting property but no lodging on the property would be perfect for hunters.

We are a married couple who live in a home on the property. It is 114 acres. The barn is within walking distance of our home but not in clear view. I am a nurse. My husband, Matt, works for Southern Company. We love it out here. Peaceful and beautiful.

During your stay

My husband, Matt and I reside in our home, on the property. It is within walking distance, but not within clear view. It is 114 acres so should have plenty of space. This is a small working farm so at times it will be necessary for us to have access to the bottom of the barn. Tractor/work equipment wil also drive by going to pole barn/feed cows, put out hay etc. Of course in that case we would be respectful of your sleep patterns and desired level of privacy. If you initiate conversation we are friendly and enjoy interaction but we do not want anyone to feel pressured to interact with us. We both work so will be away frequently in the day but you can call or text questions any time.
