We stayed at Monika's B&B for two nights before heading to Jasper and would definitely recommend it. Monika's joyful and welcoming character makes her a perfect host. Valemount is a great place to explore the Mount Robson area and Monika's advice concerning activities and hiking trails was very helpful. The breakfast she makes is abundant and incredibly good. We especially loved the homemade muffins!

This B&B is about 1.5 hr from Jasper. However, there are plenty of things to see along the way, e.g. the Rearguard and Overlander waterfalls. Both a quick walks and worth the visit. --- Monika's breakfast and her muffins are great, leading to a wonderful start to each morning. The availability of fridge, microwave, and coffee/ tea maker allow a guest to prepare their own dinner or packed lunches. Which I always find a helpful feature.

the place was very clean and spacious. it was a cold night so we ended up using the little heater and the extra blankets. an amazing place to wake up! the surrounding area was stunning and the morning sun coming through the trees on to the frosted garden was delightful. Monica was as great as the other reviews said. would highly recommend p.s. those freshly baked cinnamon muffins were amazing!

Monika's place is cosy and clean. She sets your day right by providing breakfast (inform her of your preferred breakfast in the breakfast menu the night before) and muffins. :) Situated in BC, it is a one-hour plus drive away from Jasper. BC is also one-hour behind Alberta.

Response from Monika:
Thanks for your great review. Yes, BC has a different time zone then Alberta. When I first messaged you I mentioned that we are about an 80minutes drive from Jasper (I also inform guests of it in my B&B write up), so it should not be a surprise to anyone.

Interaction with guests

I personally welcome Guests and explain everything to you upon your arrival. I leave Guests to themselves but I am available to answer any questions you have.

There are a couple maps of Valemount and surrounding area as well as a Valemount Visitors Guide in your room, and brochures on activities offered (like River Rafting, ATVing, River Safari) in the common area.
I'm happy to offer information on different walk/hikes and other activities in and around Valemount. There is also a great Information Centre in Valemount.
If I'm not home I can easily be reached by cell phone.
