Located in the heart of Eureka, we are within minutes of historic downtown, Beaver Lake, local shops and restaurants, and tons of history!

The Historian is the former home of published author and local historian, our Grandma June. When staying with us, you not only get an entire home complete with luxurious bedding, vintage design, and smart home capabilities, but you also get to live inside Eureka's history!

The space
The Historian is a studio cabin with a queen bed and sofa bed. Located directly on Hwy 23 which puts guests within 4 mins of downtown. Off street and private parking! Our kitchen is equipped with a microwave, toaster oven, mini fridge with freezer, coffee maker, and 2 burner stove top. We also have smart home capabilities! The Historian has several elements to make us kid friendly including a basket of toys, board games, and blow up bumpers to keep toddlers and young kids from falling out of bed. Adults will be entertained as well with a 55 inch TV where you can log into all your favorite streaming apps! Try our relaxing porch swing and large back yard for a nice evening outdoors, and if you are interested in history, this is the place for you! Our grandmother is a local Eureka historian, and several of her publications and books are on display throughout the cabin.

Where you’ll be

Eureka Springs, Arkansas, United States

Eureka is a very unique place with tons to do. The cabin is about 4 minutes from historic downtown where you can spend the entire day in the shops and restaurants. We are also within 10 to 20 minutes of lakes and rivers with boating, fishing, mountain biking, and floating fun. Several antique shops are nearby, and there are a lot of amazing restaurant options. If you're interested in the spirit world, Eureka is well known for its supernatural history and offers several ghost tours. Turpentine Creek Wildlife Rescue is something fun for the whole family, and Thorncrown Chapel is an architectural work of art. We are also an hour's drive away from both Branson, MO and Northwest AR.

I'm born and raised in Northwest Arkansas and still live there with my husband, daughter, 120 pound dog, and fluffy cat. My biggest hobby is decorating and designing. My husband and I are a great team as he's a woodworker, so we can create together! All of my family lives close and time with them is so important to me.
