A large twin bedded room plus large ensuite bathroom(shared with other room) with views over the Downs. Room has tea/coffee making facilities plus TV and WiFi. Two comfortable single beds in a quiet location for a perfect nights sleep. Price includes breakfast.

The space

What can I say. It's a beautiful area suitable for a weekend break from cities or a longer holiday with more time to explore the countryside, the sea, the history, the culture! The walking is varied from seafront, cliffs, downland trails and forest.

Guest access

Guests will have access to their room, dining area, sun room & garden. Light meals may be cooked in the kitchen in consultation with the host.

Interaction with guests

I like to chat with my guests whilst preparing breakfast and give advice on walks and things to do, places to see but am happy also to leave them to it if required.

Other things to note

This is perfect for families with one or two children. The two available rooms are next to each other and so creates an intimate experience.

David’s house is even lovelier than it looks in the pictures. Bedrooms are simply but comfortably furnished and the kitchen/ lounge space is inviting. I especially loved the beautiful view onto his garden and the farmlands beyond. David picked us up from the train station and dropped us off again, which was kind of him, and also made our traveling arrangements easier. The breakfast he provided was delicious - full English! He also gave us great advice about where to walk and where to eat. All in all a perfect weekend in Seaford.

Thank you for a wonderful stay and a great breakfast. it's a great space, extremely comfortable and was perfect for me and my daughter. She loved exploring the garden with David and counting all the fish in the ponds. Hopefully we will be back soon

From the beginning communications with David was very easy and he was incredibly helpful answering my numerous questions patiently and taking note of my specific needs. David even kindly asked us beforehand what we wanted for breakfast and what time we wanted it served so that we could have a lie in on the Sunday morning after attending a late night party locally. On arrival David made us a welcome cup of tea in the conservatory which overlooked his beautiful garden full of fruit trees. He kindly offered us to park on his drive and was very relaxed about handing us the house keys for us to come back in the early hours of the morning after the party. After a rest and a most enjoyable chat with David, he showed us to our immaculately clean and modern bedroom with tea and coffee making facilities and shared bathroom with a great shower. When we came back after the party the lights had been left on for us so we could find our way to our bedroom. The beds and pillows were really comfortable and there were spare blankets and duvets should we feel cold, but it is a lovely warm house..not too hot and not too cold either. Breakfast was outstanding. I am genuinely impressed that single-handedly David cooked 2 very different breakfasts at the time we had asked for it to be ready and there was a huge selection of cereals and fresh fruit from the garden…as well as a variety of jams and marmalades. David is a welcoming, friendly, fun and engaging and most obliging host (who made us feel relaxed and at home) whilst being super efficient (and effective). I felt so comfortable I had to force myself to leave! I wholeheartedly highly recommend staying at David’s and very much look forward to doing so again soon...I shall just have to find an excuse apart from tasting more of his culinary delights…I read that his mushroom and tomato omelette is rather delicious.

We had a wonderful stay in David's beautiful home. We could have not have had a more friendly or obliging host. David even kindly collected us from the rainbow train station- Very welcome on a rainy evening! David is also very knowledgeable of the local area and the house is well located to scenic walks by the river. The room was very comfortable, quiet and suited our needs perfectly. Thanks again!

David was a lovely host and made us feel at home. He offered lifts to/from the station and gave us some really helpful tips about walks in the area. We had a wonderful stay, the room was bigger than expected, bright and clean and the beds were really comfy. Breakfast was great as well, a good selection with fresh fruit from the garden. I would definitely recommend a visit.

I enjoy having people to stay at my home in this beautiful part of the world. I like my guests to feel relaxed and comfortable and try and make sure they have a great time. If cooked breakfasts are called for then you will find I do generous proportions. I enjoy music so you will find a radio & cd player in most rooms and plenty of books to read. I also enjoy the garden and hope guests will too.
