This spacious first-floor apartment in a vintage downtown Great Barrington home is a one-minute walk to Main Street. Stroll to coffee shops, restaurants, the Berkshire Food Co-op, boutiques and a seasonal farmers’ market. Take a short drive to museums, Jacob's Pillow, Tanglewood, hiking trails, rivers, Monument Mountain, Kripalu, Canyon Ranch, two ski areas and much more! I or a co-host is nearby and available as needed.

The space
The lovely, Victorian era home houses two entirely separate full-size apartments, one upstairs and one downstairs. Hardwood floors, bay windows and tall ceilings offer warmth, elegance and charm. There is free, off-street parking. It’s a quick skip up the street to town’s numerous offerings and a quick drive to the many nearby Berkshire delights.

You can tumble out of bed and head straight to Fuel or Patisserie coffee shop on Main Street around the corner. Then poke around the many independently owned and unique shops, have dinner and/or lunch in town, shop at the Berkshire Food Co-op and make a meal to enjoy at home and peruse the Shopper's Guide or online Berkshire Edge to see what special events are happening in and around town--there's always something.

I'm originally from the Boston area, and just before moving to the Berkshires lived in northern Vermont. My family and I have been in the Berkshires now for more than 15 years and love it! Here we have found the perfect meeting place for city and country sensibilities. Because it's just a couple of hours from both Boston and New York, the area can sustain a rich and plentiful cultural life with theater, music, dance, art and museums AND a high-quality and delicious food scene while also being surrounded by stunning natural beauty in every direction. All this, at a country pace of life and in a friendly community. My family and I are enthusiastic supporters of all the Berkshires have to offer. We also love the history and patina of old houses, and are lovingly caring for this gracious Victorian gem that houses your AirBnb rental.
