Located just one block east of the hopping Williams neighborhood, and within walking distance to the Mississippi and Alberta Arts districts, this beautiful, fully equipped, private two bedroom apartment is a perfect home away from home.

The space

The 800 sq ft space is the entire second story of our sweet home, and has its own entrance and elevated deck looking out over the treetops and garden of our yard toward bustling Williams St. With lofted ceilings, large windows and skylights, it is always light-filled and airy. The living room is centered around a lovely gas fireplace, so it is very cozy and warm.

With two large bedrooms, the space comfortably accommodates adults and families. There is a king bed in the master bedroom along with a futon that pulls out to a full size bed. There is a queen bed in the second bedroom. There is a television in the living room and you can stream movies or watch YouTube videos via the blu ray player. Enjoy a variety of board games and books. When the weather is fine, have a picnic in our backyard garden. Oh, and maybe go out and see Portland!

Biking is one of the best ways to explore this beautiful city, and we have a bike rental shop very close to the house. Nike has recently installed kiosks just a block away for easy rental of cruiser bicycles. We are also walking distance to both the Mississippi and Alberta Arts districts, where you will find amazing restaurants, bars, venues, shops, and breweries. We are also very close to several bus lines, the Max train, and centrally located so that within a 10 minutes' drive you can be downtown or exploring most of the other fun neighborhoods around town.

Portland is a food lover's dream, and we are one block from some of the best restaurants, breweries, and coffee in town. However, the kitchen is fully equipped should you decide to explore the New Seasons three block south, Portland's favorite local grocery store.

Free Wi-Fi is available to all guests, as well as full use of the blu ray player in the apartment. Guests may also utilize our backyard garden.

We are available for any questions or needs that may arise. But we will respect our guests' privacy.

We are in the heart of the Boise-Elliot neighborhood, and we truly love where we live. There is a strong sense of community here, and a great collection of resources a stone's throw from the house - coffee shops, bakeries, breweries, restaurants (including many kid-friendly establishments as well as adult only venues). There is a lovely New Seasons grocery store just blocks away. Further afield, but easily walkable, are the Mississippi and Alberta Arts districts, a farmer's market, and lots of great parks and other spots to explore.

In addition to the amazing walkable neighborhoods, we are very close to several bus lines, the Max train (yellow line), and centrally located so that within 10 minutes' drive you can be downtown or exploring most of the other fun neighborhoods around town.

We have two small dogs, a friendly Corgi mix named Banana and an even friendlier Yorkie Terrier mix named Loretta Lou (we call her Lulu); however there are never animals in the apartment. We also have two children who will most likely be playing in the backyard whenever the weather is nice.
*We make family noise during normal waking hours (kids, coffee grinder, vacuum, laughing). We make efforts to keep our volume down and hope you will too. Our rental would not be a good fit if you are looking for a quiet get away or if you are looking to party into the night.

Guest access

Free Wi-Fi is available to all guests, as well as full use of the blu ray player in the apartment. Guests may also utilize our backyard garden.

This was a comfortable stay for our time in Portland. The bedrooms and bathroom were spacious and and the kitchen was well stocked with the ikea essentials for cooking which we really appreciated. The neighborhood was decent with nearby coffee/groceries/laundromat etc though nearby construction was noisy at times (including nighttime deliveries). One potential area for improvement would be the living room area which was a little basic and uncomfortable.

Jen and Ari's space is so lovely! It was a breeze to find and check in, and the place is so charming and quiet, tucked away on a calm residential street - but very easy walking distance to shops, a New Seasons grocery store, great restaurants (try Kayo Ramen!), and the Mississippi and Alberta neighborhoods. Bedrooms were spacious and comfy. Seriously loved this place and will definitely try to stay here again. A great value for the location and space. Thanks!

Jen and Ari's place was even better than I expected. They were very accommodating hosts that let us know we could check in earlier than expected the day of. The airbnb was cute and clean. The location was perfect. The weather was perfect and we decided to walk the 2 miles to the city center which gave us a beautiful view of downtown via the bridge. There are plenty of restaurants and bars just a block away if you're not going downtown. It was a great trip and we would stay at Jen and Ari's again if we come back.

Jen's is in a great neighborhood, close to shops and food, and easy to get to other parts of Portland. She was very responsive and the space is very cute. Had a great time and would definitely recommend.

Staying in Jen & Ari's suite was great. It's a 2nd floor suite of a lovely character house. There was lots of space in the suite and access to great outdoor space. Their house is central enough that it's easy to get around, at least by car (which is what we did). We never had a chance to meet our hosts however they were very responsive with messages and overall very accommodating during our stay.

Quick one night stay, House was very clean. Noise from downstairs definitely noticeable, didn’t see that in the add until I was there, but not a big deal.

We are a small family of four that enjoys the outdoors, music, gardening, and exploring our beloved city of Portland. We recently acquired this long standing and well loved Air BnB property (though we are long time residents of Portland). We are excited to start this journey as hosts in our amazing city.
