If you want to experience London at it's best then come to Camden. This area of London is central, safe, and packed full of cafes, bars, famous nightclubs, music venues and the world famous Camden Market along with beautiful parks and Primrose Hill.

The space

I live in the heart of Camden Town, in a late Georgian terrace of houses within a Conservation area, right in the centre of London. My flat is richly decorated which reflects the work that I do as a Textile Artist. My walls are covered with my choice of vintage finds, antiques and objets d'art.

My Flat on 1st and 2nd Floor 16 sq mtrs:
You will be staying (with me) in my sitting room on a comfy sofa bed. You will get complete privacy during your stay in my sitting room. This large sunny room has two big windows with wooden shutters and a big fire place. There will be fresh bedlinen, a choice of pillows, towels, big duvets and hot water bottles. There is a hanger rail for your clothes.
**I provide earplugs for you as I am on a main road.
**1 extra small child can stay on AIR MATTRESSES or ONE EXTRA adult. This will be like CAMPING but is appreciated by families on a tight budget... or for a family for the weekend.
You have free Wi Fi, TV, DVD and information about what is going on in London, with maps and guidebooks.
You can use my kitchen whilst staying with me. There is unlimited tea and coffee, a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, a fridge, iron and ironing board. I do not have an electric dryer - I hang clothes on a dryer in the hallway.
**I don't supply breakfast but Arancini's ( 1 minute walk) has great food and Mario's is around the corner (with his own mini Art gallery).
** For 3 people to eat at the kitchen table is slightly tight... see the pictures.
You will be sharing the bathroom with me. I supply big towels, hairdryers and a few shampoos etc.
I always try to welcome guests personally but if I am not around I make other arrangements for you as well as key access. I provide a welcome pack for you and answer all your questions. Then I leave you be.

or Movie Fans;
At the back of St Pancras Station ( Batman Begins 2005) is Somerstown, featured in the film of the same name. Chaplin 1992 and countless films were filmed by the canal there, which has now been opened up for visitors and has a new street food market and a brilliant music venue called Kings Place. The Spice Girls filmed in the now magnificent St Pancras Hotel -- well worth a visit. All 8 Harry Potter films were filmed at Kings Cross Station so fans will want to visit platform 9 and 3/4 - ask anyone where it is. Alfie, Breaking and Entering, Nanny Mcfee 2 were filming in that area as well as Regents Park, Primrose Hill, Regents Canal. Camden has been filmed in numerous times. And Robert Downey Jn had his photo taken right outside my front door for Sherlock Holmes. And I missed it...

Other things to note

Things to Note:
I have had whole families stay with me in my sitting room. This is a bit of a squeeze for families but so worth it financially. I have an extra mattress for a child that can be put up during the day. Families love staying with me as I live in a safe neighbourhood and they can do what they want. The youngest guest I have had was 4 months and the eldest was 78yrs. My flat is on the 1st floor for the guest room and the second floor for the bathroom.

An amazing house with abundant artworks in everywhere. Unfortunately we haven't seen Tessa herself but her friendly neighborhood, Ali, and she was helping us when there was something wrong in the house. Camden town is near by the King's cross station but I think it's a little bit far away from Center of London or Kensington and you may walk 10-15 minutes to underground.

Tessa's place was perfect for our stay. I was so pleased to have access to a washing machine since we were only traveling with a carry-on. It is close to everything we needed like health food stores and restaurants. We felt like locals. Although we didn't get to meet Tessa, she left us in good hands with Ali. The communication was fantastic and I will definitely stay here next time we are in London.

Hi there. Welcome to my home. I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and I enjoy showing others why I love living in Central London. All the museums and art galleries are just a walk or ride away from me and Camden Lock is 8 minutes walk from my home. I know an awful lot about London as I have been lucky enough to film in most places over 15 years as a Location Manager.

I adore travelling when possible and my top favourites would be the South Americas, any European City in the winter time and long beaches in Sri Lanka. If you want unusual things to buy - then I shall probably be able to point you in the right direction as I know all the markets.I have travelled extensively and am pleased to offer my home for others to enjoy London, one of the best cities in Europe.

I really do have a family motto which is" Audacity, Perseverance and hard work'. I would add 'fun and curiosity' as well. Come and stay with me and enjoy all that London has to offer.
