We are a 35-45 minute drive to downtown DC and Old Town Alexandria, and Arlington National Cemetery to the north. The Chesapeake corridor is to the East. Solomons Island, St Mary’s City, Point Lookout, Calvert Cliffs, Pax River Naval Air Station are all about an hour or so drive away.
South to the Potomac corridor there is fishing crabbing, boating, kayaking and historic locales just minutes away:
Here in Charles County, Samuel Mudd House, Thomas Stone’s ancestral home Havre d Venture, the Historic Port Tobacco Courthouse and Mt Aventine, as well as Mallows Bay boat ghostyard are features. The National Colonial Farm at Piscataway Park (a working Colonial Farm with heritage animals) is nestled on the edge of the Potomac River with views to Mt Vernon and is only a short 15 minute drive away. Our neighborhood is in a well established, quiet and lovely residential community with lots of old growth trees and is a short drive to all suburban conveniences.
