Bonavista, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada
Bonavista is a culturally and historically rich community with a wide variety of dining, entertainment, and recreation options. Visit museums and the lighthouse, hike the famous Skerwink trail, work out at the gym, grab a great book from the local Library, walk the many beaches, A tea house or cafe for delectable treats, or dine at one of several restaurants offering traditional Newfoundland meals!
Enjoy the famous Iceberg Alley in season as immense floating glaciers bring natural works of art to Bonavista, or watch humpback whales in their natural habitat - also in season. Delight in the spring/summer puffins on Puffin Island, and perhaps a visit to Elliston's Puffin Festival in July. Bonavista is filled with events and festivals throughout the summer such as Bonavista Days and the Church Street festival, and the Garrick 200 seat theatre is open year-round for both film and performing arts.
