Our little chalet is located on a property of 1700 hectares of pristine forests, with 30 km. of signaled trails and isolated from the world with no cel phone coverage. The chalet is very well insulated with a wood fired cooking stove, which also heats the cabin and the water. The forests are the last remnants of its kind in the zone and offer the same scenery or even more beautiful as which you will find in the Southern parts of Chile. If you enjoy hiking and nature, this is heaven on earth.

The space
If you look for a convenient place to pass the night, this is certainly NOT your best choice. Our chalet and reserve are 40 minutes from the highway and the last 10 km. are over a dirt road. If you enjoy nature and come with at least 2 days time, I doubt there is anything more beautiful so far North in Chile. If you advise with time, we can organize rides on horse back and/or the use of a quincho with hot tub and bar-b-q (albeit at additional cost). But hiking, listening to birds and silence and enjoying nature is free, and there are more than 30 km. of trails and 1700 ha of pristine forests to enjoy. My kids make it there in a Peugeot 2008, but its highly recommendable you come in a vehicle that is high off the road (Subaru Forester, Audi Q5, camioneta/truck).

Guest access
The chalet is all yours.

Other things to note
The house takes it water from spring water and many people drink it. But it is recommendable to bring your own water for direct consumption; you are ok to use water from the tap that is boiled previously for tea or coffee.
As anywhere in these latitudes, there is a plant called "litre", a type of poison ivy, to which a lot of people are allergic. We keep the trails as open as possible, but this is nature and it is possible you will get into contact with it (based on many hikes I have done there, about one in 50 people get a reaction). In most cases it is just unpleasant and goes away after one or two weeks. There is a bar of soap in the house to wash with after a walk (please leave it after use, its not easy to by of!) and a cream in case you get an infection and which you can take with you. Its really no big deal, but worth to mention. At 100 meters from the house there is a water reservoir that may be an issue for little children and also a stream passes 50 meters from the house.

Beautiful forests of Patagonian Oak, Chilean Myrtle, Cordilleran Cypress, Soapbark, Chilean Acorn, Dombey´s Beech, Winter´s Bark and many other native bushes and plants.
