A quiet location, down a short dirt road, and just 2 minutes from I-5. With easy access to Shasta Lake and Redding, you’ll be glad you stayed here. Its private entrance is accessible via coded lock box with key inside.

Enjoy sleeping on a luxurious Cal King bed or unwind with some popcorn and favorite show on the Smart TV. The bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner and soap. The kitchenette equipped with mini fridge and wine glasses. For breakfast we offer coffee, tea, oatmeal and eggs.

The space
The guest suite is private and minutes from I-5 and Shasta Lake with boat parking available. Please make special note that we are in Shasta County and have a Redding address, but we are not within the city limits of Redding.

ABOUT THE SPACE
The quarters are attached to the main house, but the door between the two will remain locked. It is a solid core door to help with noise transfer. We have two young children and I try very hard to keep noise down during quiet hours (10pm-7am); we expect our guests to do the same. Please understand we are a growing family enjoying life and there is bound to be some noise and laughter during the daytime hours.

Please note that the space has a kitchenette, not a full kitchen (as seen in the pictures). Also smoking is not allowed for several reasons (high fire danger is first and foremost at the moment); there are several local dispensaries that offer edibles as an alternative.

PROPERTY
We cannot allow guests to walk or roam our property. However we hope to have an outdoor area accessible to our guests at some point. In the meantime, there are several outdoor areas close by, such as the Sundial Bridge, parks and various walking trails.

CLEANING
With the spread of COVID-19 we are taking extra precautions in cleaning and sterilizing between guests. Being that I’m a dental hygienist by trade, I fully understand the spread of bacteria and viruses and am very meticulous. I ventilate the room and wipe down everything; particularly frequently handled items such as light switches, door handles, the key, inside and outside of the lockbox, TV remote, (just to give you an idea) with a disinfectant. We are not taking any chances contracting COVID or allowing our AirBNB guests to either. Please help us maintain a clean environment by washing hands frequently and any time you change tasks, as well as coughing or sneezing into a covering; recommendations to follow at all times, but especially now. We ask that if you feel you have been exposed or are coming from a high risk area to please not book with us. Thank you.

PARKING
Parking is to the right of the house, close to the studio's entrance. There is room for parking a boat, assuming you are competent with backing a boat/trailer. There is also an external outlet for charging a boat battery (by the A/C unit).

CHECKING OUT
We have a strict check out time of 11 am. For guests that check out past 11 am, there will be a $50 convenience fee. Please be sure light switches and all AC/Heating units are turned off and message me once you have checked out. Thank you!

Where you’ll be

Redding, California, United States

This is not a subdivision neighborhood so you will find it to be very private and quiet. The road is dirt and the driveway to our house is gravel. We ask that you drive 10 mph or slower on our road and especially our driveway, to help keep dust down and not run over our playing children :)

We have yet to fully fence our property so sometimes our neighbor’s friendly black dog, Bear, will come over to our house. Although he is large, he is very sweet and will not bother you.

My husband and I are natives to Northern California. We have a young child and a toddler. We love the quiet country life and spend what free time we have working in the yard or fishing at Shasta Lake with our kiddos. I also enjoy skiing and snowboarding at Mt. Shasta in the winter. We absolutely love this area and hope you are able to get out and enjoy its beauty during your stay!

During your stay

I am more of a hands off host, but will respond as quickly as possible to any questions, concerns or additional requests. If you know you will need something, the more notice I have the better, being that I’m a busy mom of two.
