With lots of space and light, this studio has everything that makes a house feel like a home: a fireplace, a full kitchen, a queen bed, oak floors, art on the walls, handmade furniture, and a private entrance.

The space

This studio is a welcoming space in the center of an historic neighborhood that offers a unique perspective on the city of Portland.

Ask me for in-depth info on where to go and what to see in the Irvington neighborhood, the Alberta Arts District, and other parts of Northeast Portland! Over the years, I’ve gotten to know quite a few incredible places to eat, drink, shop, and explore here. Located at the hub of some of Portland’s most interesting neighborhoods, this studio places the whole city at your fingertips. But adventure can be tiring, and the studio offers ample opportunity to put your feet up. Portland can get nippy at night, and a real wood fireplace, stocked with firewood from locally harvested and dried urban hardwood trees, is the perfect way to warm up and feel at home.

The apartment has high ceilings and a great fireplace; it’s minimally decorated but has all the important things: a queen bed, a couch with a coffee table, a small desk, a dresser and extra shelves, and a kitchen table. The kitchen comes fully stocked with the essentials for cooking a real meal, and the bathroom always has towels, soap and shampoo.

The space is located on the first floor of a large 1910 home, which was converted to an eight-plex in the 1940s to adapt to the demands of WWII. I have lived in Irvington for 14 years and Portland for 25, and this house is one of the most unique that I’ve seen.

This is an excellent accommodation in a quiet area of Portland. It was convenient to my meetings at the convention center via Bus Route 8, which stopped just a block away from both the accommodation and the convention center. It is also convenient to several shopping and dining areas of Portland which gives an excellent slice of life in this fantastic city. If/when I'm back in Portland, I'll be looking this site up to see if it is available. Highly recommend.

Cute studio in a beautiful neighborhood! There was ample parking in front of the house and we really only heard the neighbors once or twice in the morning. I highly recommend taking a 1/2 mile morning walk to St. Simon for coffee!

Great little place! Perfect for a couple trying to experience Portland. It was my wife and I's first time to Portland and everything was convenient. It was in a great location for us to get around thanks to Portland's great public transit. If you're visiting in the winter, be prepared to make a fire, it's a great way to heat the place up.

What a great little place! I'm sure my first trip to Portland was enhanced by staying at this cute little house. The building is perfectly situated on a beautiful, residential street central to everything in Portland. I'm looking forward to returning!

Clean and lovely little studio with lots of character. Old house, so heat is controlled via space heater, and there's limited ventilation (we ended up buying a fan) and creaky floor/furniture. Low key hosts--didn't meet or see Hannah during our stay. Overall a sweet, private place to stay!

Interaction with guests

As a host, I’m more than ready to help in any way I can with info and supplies, but I’ll also leave you to enjoy the room with respect for your privacy. I’m easy to reach on my cell phone if anything comes up, and when I’m around the house I love to give recommendations of things to do.
