Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Located in Glen Ellen, Síbín (she-bean) is a 500 sq ft newly renovated, modern guest suite with en suite bathroom, dedicated heating/AC, and a separate, private entrance. Located just one hour north of San Francisco in the heart of Sonoma Wine Country with dozens of tasting rooms and great restaurants close by, and only 15 minute drive to historical Sonoma Square. Our central Sonoma Valley location also allows for quick, easy access to several other wine country hot spots.

The space
At 500 sqft, the guest suite is quite large (larger than most of my apartments in Boston!) It has a queen size bed with premium bed linens - nearly every person who sleeps on that bed has commented on how comfortable it is - true story!

Also in the suite, are a double-deep couch, comfy reading chair, and a small bistro set, in case you want to grab something and bring it back to eat. The wine fridge is good for small bites/snacks, and of course... wine! The suite has a single serve coffee maker and we provide coffee (regular & decaf), tea bags, creamer, sugar, etc. There is also glassware, small plates, mugs and silverware, perfect for a continental breakfast in the suite.

The large armoire offers a place to hanging clothing and store shoes, etc., alternately, there's a luggage rack for your suitcase, if you prefer. There is streaming TV (Chrome Cast) in the suite; if you can watch it on your tablet or phone - you can watch it on the TV. The guest suite also has a brand new, dedicated heating and cooling system to ensure optimal comfort during your stay. Our home is equipped with hi-speed WiFi and a Nest wireless mesh network to ensure whole house has excellent coverage.

The main house is a 1943 cottage on 1/2 acre of land. Three large oaks shade our home, and another two flank our driveway. Our large, well-appointed deck looks onto Sonoma Creek, which runs year-round at the back of our property (though lately, the drought has made it very slow and our garden look very sad). You are always welcome to enjoy a book, glass of wine, or cup of coffee on the main deck. If we're not here, you can walk around the side of the house by the carport and get on to the deck from there, as well as access the creek-side seating. We are in a rural locale, so there’s also lots of wildlife to enjoy – our animal neighbors keep to themselves, but be on the lookout for them when driving to or near our home (there's A LOT of deer and wild turkey, neither of whom look both ways before crossing the road).

We have a small rescue dog, Sassy, who is likely to loudly greet you upon arrival. She's about 15lbs and scared of her own shadow, so she's not likely to let you pet her. While she's often exercising her mad napping skills, when we're home she occasionally chills in the front yard or on the deck. Please make sure you close the main gate behind you - we don't want a (doggy) jail break. If for any reason, you are frightened of dogs though, please let us know; we want to ensure you are always comfortable on our property. Allergy sufferers, rest-assured, Sassy is never allowed in the guest suite.

Where you’ll be

Glen Ellen, California, United States

We're located equidistance between the popular wine country villages of Glen Ellen and Kenwood. Our beautiful property is situated in upper-middle Sonoma Valley, making it extremely convenient to access several of the best California Wine Country destinations. Glen Ellen has a small gourmet market, a convenience store, a saloon, several tasting rooms, and some excellent dining establishments. Nearby Jack London and Sonoma Valley Regional parks offer beautiful and historically relevant hiking opportunities. Warm Springs Road (where we live) is also a very popular cyclist route.

We’re a well-traveled, mixed-continent couple (I'm American and my husband is from Ireland), who are both turning 50 this year (YIKES!)! We both work in tech (from home) and live in California Wine Country (Sonoma Valley), where we are AirBnB Superhosts! Come stay with us: We're both very laid back and laissez-faire; we believe love is love and diversity is the spice of life! We enjoy meeting new people for a chat over a glass of wine or cup of coffee. However, as hosts ourselves, we always respect our the privacy and living space of those hosting us. Wishing you peace, love and good vibes! Deanna & Michael
