The host was quick to respond to questions and check-in was seemless. We had very little contact with the host as we were very busy during our time in Providence, but he was available had we needed anything. Positives of our stay were easy check-in, free parking, a good ceiling fan, and an excellent shower. Negative was a strong animal odor. Although the host kept the dogs gated in the kitchen, the animal smell in the house (including our room) was overpowering. The cats were also constantly at our bedroom door trying to sneak in. If you are not a big animal lover, this may not be the right place for you. Also my husband is 6 feet tall and found the bed to be short

Richard and Don live in a great part of Providence, close to downtown and exactly where i wanted to stay. We had such a great time there. The room was beautiful and clean and stayed cool. The shower was awesome and the bed was very comfortable. Richard and Don were amazing host. They greeted us when we got back and asked about our days and shared stories and it was such a fantastic experience. They have sweet puppies and the cutest cats. I don't think I can stay anywhere else but here when i find myself in the area.

Don and Richard's home is located in a safe neighborhood of Providence. They always left the lights on for me at night. Don made sure to orient me to the home when I arrived and helped his dogs become accustomed to my presence. Don and Richard have two dogs and two cats. The home is kept so clean you wouldn't even know there were pets inside. The bed was comfortable and the temperature in the room was perfect. There is a ceiling fan and a large plug in fan as well. There is a pool across the street, I heard some noise and music from the neighbors, this was due to it being a holiday weekend and it didn't impact my sleeping. Work nights were quiet and peaceful. The hosts allowed me to do laundry and provided an umbrella for me before I could ask on a rainy day. A recycling bin is also offered in the room which is a big plus in my book, I usually end up packing empty recyclable containers and carrying them home. Don and Richard are also great communicators and get back to you promptly with any questions you have. I had a busy vacation with late nights and socializing, this was the perfect room to come home to for comfort and privacy. As a single woman I felt very safe and will happily stay here again in the future. Thanks Don and Richard!

Richard User ProfileRichard is a superhost.

Richard and Don have lived in Providence for many years. Richard is a busy Real Estate Agent who works all over Rhode Island. Don is a social worker who is a program director at a homeless services agency.

We share our home with our two cats, Ashley and Lilly, and with our two recently adopted (and very mellow!) puppies Sandy and Danny. They are all very friendly.

Providence is a great city, and we love its restaurants, theater, and other events. We can help you find the hidden gems in the city, including restaurants.

As volunteers and board members for the Rhode Island International Film Festival for over ten years, we have hosted filmmakers from around the world in our home. We love meeting new people and helping them to enjoy what Providence and Rhode Island have to offer.
