The place is just what we wanted after a few days in (URL HIDDEN) out in the countryside and is quiet. Easy drive to Bath, Salisbury, etc. Highly recommend going to Avebury instead of (or in addition to) Stonehenge to see and walk amongst the standing stone circles...you can actually touch these and really appreciate the work a bit more; only fee is parking. Nice to meet Ros' horses, dog and cat. Fresh eggs from the chickens if you want them too! And it's only about a 5-10 min walk to the Prince Leopold pub (call ahead to book for dinner). No streetlights so take a flashlight (torch) if going in the evening for the return walk. The cottage itself is beautiful and comfortable with a nice kitchen, plus a clothes washer and dryer (nice bonus!). Overall, Ros has an excellent place and I'd definitely stay there again.

Amazing place to relax especially if you have kids. The house is nice, clean, well equipped and big enough to pass a rainy day in ;-) The outside is so beautiful that I can't tell..our daughter of 20 months really enjoyed waking up looking at the two super horses, dog, cat, chickens... She had plenty of green to go playing especially on the nice and quite new play area! The surroundings are rural and beautiful. Foot paths all around and a good pub near by. It maybe misses a market but nevermind, you need the car to stay there in any case so.. Last but not least, Ros and Peter are very careful and gentle people. They welcomed us with fresh fruits from the garden and giving us useful suggestions about where to go and what to do. Thank you! =)

Peter and I are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Middle Farm and look forward to seeing you very soon. Regarding the 'bugs'. The cottage is a very old converted barn so there will be spiders and insects around. They appear overnight!! Nothing we can do about them I am afraid. They are swept up continually.

Rural, pleasant place to stay, convenient for Stonehenge and Avebury. Boys loved watching the horses, pepper the dog and the chickens.

The cottage provided a good central accommodation. The owners were welcoming and gave us lots of useful information. The area was lovely and it was great to see a starry night!

If you're looking for a house which is convenient for all the local sights including Stonehenge, longleat and Bath then you have found the best option in the area . Ros made myself and my family really feel welcome and her house has everything you need as well as being clean and with great heating for a cold February . If I'm in the area again I will not hesitate to stay with Ros again .
