Our private home is nestled in a quiet neighborhood off the I-5 freeway, a 5-minute drive from Bethel, the Sundial Bridge, the Redding Civic Auditorium, and Downtown. Guests enjoy 1 private bedroom with California King Bed and a hall bathroom (which may be shared by other guests) in our fully-furnished home.
Enjoy free Wifi, central location, quality beds, blankets, quallity sheets, towels, garden, free parking, & full kitchen. We cannot accommodate children, or pets.
Our beautiful garden and plentiful seasonal hummingbirds are truly unique to our property; feel free to eat outside in the garden or on the porch, or enjoy the view and the sunshine in one of our many outdoor spaces, including a swing and hammocks.
Your private room with a California King-sized bed is equipped with Wifi internet, a chair and desk, several lighting options, a set of drawers, luxurious bed linens, pillows, towels, hanging clothes space in a closet, a fan, light-blocking curtains, and window blinds. Your private King bedroom accesses the nearby hall bathroom, shared with 1 other guest room (which may or. may not be occupied) . The bathroom has a toilet and sink and combination bathtub & shower.
We are a 100% smoke-free, drug-free, animal-free home.
In consideration of Redding local noise ordinances, our neighbors, and other guests, we ask that noise levels inside and outside be low after 10pm until 8am.
In addition to the private bedroom and nearby hall bathroom, guests are invited to use our house amenities, including kitchen, dining room, living room, garden, wireless internet, refrigerator, microwave, stove, oven, food storage space, dishwashing machine, and free parking. Use of the kitchen, hall bathroom, and common areas are shared. We expect guests to do their part in keeping common areas clean and tidy.
Guests are responsible for their own food and transportation.
Interaction with guests
We lead an active life in the Redding community, but we are also very people-oriented. We will do our best to give you recommendations, and help you feel comfortable during your stay with us, including a thorough orientation when we are here to greet you, and clear communication in our Welcome Packet. Healthy communication is very important to us.
We are fairly independent and expect that our guests will be, too. We respect each other's needs for privacy, connection, interaction, etc.
Other things to note
Here's a little "Get-To-Know-Us", as Airbnb suggests (for those who like details)...In a few words, our accommodation is:
clean, comfortable, beautiful, cozy, central, creative, international. Some of our values are: excellence, honor, gratitude, hospitality, serenity, optimism, laughing, forgiveness, and good communication.
Though we personally love pets, we are a 100% animal-free, drug-free, smoke-free home.
We have a simple TV that will play DVDs, but we do not have Cable or Dish service. We have an interesting library and a gorgeous garden.
Food and transportation are each guest's responsibility. We do offer a complimentary selection of coffee and tea throughout your stay. You may use refrigerator and food storage space for your food supplies, and you may use the kitchen to cook.
Since you will be sharing common house space, we would love to ensure the best fit possible, so feel free to ask questions and let us know about your needs while here, and we will do the same.
Per Airbnb guidelines, we do not accept cash payments, and we cannot accept third-party reservations; all guests who book accommodation here must be guests here during the stay booked. No additional guests may stay without being counted in the reservation. Please contact us with any questions.
We use 110volt electricity in California and the USA, so high-voltage 220
volt international hairdryers, curling irons, hair straighteners will not work well here and are rather best bought here locally, quite inexpensively.
Prices listed include local fees.
The common areas are open to all registered guests. In the event that you would like to invite an outside guest over, please talk it over with us in advance.
We ask that shoes not be worn inside the house. We value respect, honor, consideration, community, and also privacy, and we would like to receive guests with these same values.
There are Guest Guidelines in our welcome packet that outline more details about your stay, so that you can feel very comfortable here.
You are welcome to read the books in our library and enjoy our gorgeous garden. Please, no open flames, smoking, drugs, dyeing hair, or pets on the property at any time. We are not suited for children aged 0-12.
Each guest is fully and solely responsible for the safety of their person, their valuables, and their personal items while staying with us.
Enjoy your stay and feel at home!
I am an avid traveler/storyteller, and I consider hospitality a way to show people how much they are loved and valued.
I love international food and culture, music, dancing of all sorts, learning new languages, adventure in its many forms, playing card/board games, and improv comedy.
I want my guests to feel like they have a home-away-from-home when they stay with me, filled with an experience of peace, joy, comfort, privacy, value, and family.
I have hosted guests from all over the world over the years, and I have a hospitality background. I've traveled to 50+ countries, and the rest are on my bucket list.
Welcome to beautiful Redding! I look forward to the chance to welcome you, and invite you to enjoy the peace and tranquility of our home.
