We had a wonderful stay at Giulio's and the apartment is stupendous - a mix of old world charm and modern amenities. Absolutely spotless and extremely friendly and warm host. Highly recommend it!

This was the best Airbnb experience of my life. We arrived to a spotless villa, cleaner than most hotel rooms. Giulio took the time to explain the area to us and provided us with many maps and detailed explanations. The area was wonderful and the villa had many amenities. Truly exceptional, would recommend to anyone who is looking in this area.

Giulio's home is beautiful, spacious and immaculately clean. It has great views of a mountain and the neighborhood is quiet. I've only stayed in a few Airbnb's before, but I can't imagine a better host than Giulio. He truly is a Super Host in every sense. When we first arrived, Giulio welcomed us with a bottle of wine and even had some grocery items waiting for us. The home is wonderfully equipped with modern amenities and the ceiling frescos in the bedrooms are remarkable. It's almost like falling asleep in the Sistine Chapel. We had a rental car and the house has a nice large space to park. We used Giulio's place as a base for our visits to Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Cinque Terre, San Gimignano and many other small villages in the area. His home is centrally located very well between all of the these towns/areas. The longest drive was to the Cinque Terre which took a little less than 1.5 hours. There is also a train station within 5 minutes of the home and we used that to take trains into Florence (parking is very limited there). Giulio was very helpful in recommendations and directions as well. He had many town maps and other tourist information readily available for us. Basically, if you needed anything, he was there to help right away. Communication was superb with Giulio, as he was quick to respond with any request. He even offered to drive us to Florence or Siena and be our tour guide for those days. For this service, he only asked that we cover the cost of his fuel and the toll roads. Unbelievable service! Giulio is a special individual who truly cares for his guests and goes out his way to make sure their stay is a very enjoyable, pleasant experience. We wish we could have stayed longer, because of the wonderful hospitality we received from Giulio and his mother. However, we departed and drove to our next location in Assisi (3 hour drive). We were only there for a couple of hours when we received a call from Giulio, informing us that we had mistakenly left our passports and an iPad in the wall safe provided in the home. We had to drive to Rome the next day and were leaving Italy in 2 days. Naturally, we were in a little bit of a panic. To illustrate Giulio's generous nature, he offered to drive 2 hours out of his way to meet us in Florence to save us time on our drive back to Rome. It actually saved us about 3 hours of travel time that day. As soon as we arrived at the meeting spot, Giulio pulled into the space next to us and hand delivered our important documents. We offered to pay him for his fuel and tolls, but he would not accept it. He has to be the best Super Host ever!!! Needless to say, I would highly recommend Giulio's home to anyone. It...

Our family visited Giulio’s apartment we had two young children 9 and 5 and they both enjoyed the apartment. You can see from the pictures on Airbnb how beautiful the apartment is and it does not disappoint. It is very spacious with large rooms, so the children had space to spread out, it was also very clean and well maintained, everything worked. The kitchen had all the kitchen tools and accessories we needed for self catering, we cooked most nights and found it very straight forward. There is even special parking place next to the apartment that is easy to park. When we arrived Giulio met us in the town and we followed him to the apartment by car. He personally showed us everything in the apartment so we had no doubts about how anything worked. We arrived over Easter so Giulio had left us a wonderful Colomba pasquale cake, (“Easter Dove cake”), a bottle of wine, and a bowl of fruit. It was a kind gesture and much appreciated. Giulio also explained about all the places in the region showing great tips about the area, where to park for towns like Luca, and suggesting to take to train to Florence as the roads are so busy. Giulio had even prepared a printed information sheet about all the places in the region and maps, so we could look at them at our leisure. Throughout the stay we had a few questions such as questions about heating and using the washing machine and he or his mother were available to help. They really did everything they could to make our stay a success. The location of the apartment is in a quiet area of the town in Monsummano Terme. There are wonderful views of the countryside. The town itself is nice quiet town, which is a good location for seeing other great towns and cities near by. We drove by car to Pisa, Lucca, Monsummano Terme, Montecatini Alto, San Gimignano, Vinci, and we caught the train to Florence. All of the places were great and we enjoyed them all. Unfortunately we did not get time to visit the spa near by. Giulio and his mother really ensured we had a good holiday, I would recommend this as place to stay it was a great success for us.
