Where you’ll be

Lalitpur, Central Region, Nepal

Lalitpur and Kathmandu have many ancient squares, temples and streets to visit. Go back hundreds of years in time at Kathmandu or Patan Durbar square, or even Bhaktapur Durbar square (the most beautiful one), Boudha Stupa and the buddhist monasteries surrounding, Swayambhu monkey temple and sacred cremation area Pashupatinath are all on the list to visit.
Next to that Nepal is known for his Himalaya mountains, Everest base camp is maybe not for everyone, but short mountain village like Nagarkot, Dhulikhel, Godawari are very reachable in a few hours and worth to stay for a day or 2. Long trips are going to Pokhara (Annapurna mountain region) and the beautiful jungle in the south of Chitwan incl rhinos, elephants and crocodiles!

Hi my name is Sajna, I live in Kathmandu with my family and started a guesthouse in 2014. We, me and my partner, host a lot of teachers, interns and volunteers from School of Performing Arts Kathmandu(SPAK) but also other (volunteer) organisations in the neighbourhood who like to stay in a cosy room for a couple of months or even for short term stay. Next to that, I work at SPAK as a Project coordinator and graduated Masters in Sociology. If you are looking for a home away from home, Buddha rooms is the one for you.
