Creative artist vibes with a piano, eclectic decor, overflowing bookshelves, and a warm, cozy feel make this a creative escape from everyday life. A well-appointed kitchen, office with desk and reading chair, and green, private outdoor spaces ensure you have all you need to relax and take in nature. Perfect jump-off spot to island adventures, whale watching, or birding on the Samish flats. Well-behaved dogs and cats welcome.

The space
This unique home feels like a retreat, and offers an exceptional level of privacy and quiet. Many guests compliment us on the eclectic collection of art and craft items found throughout the space.

Grill out or relax by the Chiminea on the stone patio, curl up with one of the many books on offer, or recline on the couch and gaze out the full-length living room windows to spot deer, birds, and squirrels. There are also games and puzzles available for your use, as well as a piano with an assortment of sheet music.

- Open, high-ceilinged living room with a dining nook, full-length windows, and a sliding glass door to the backyard. (This room is designed to bring the feeling of the outdoors inside.)
- Cozy bedroom has light-blocking blinds.
- Galley-style kitchen is well-stocked with quality cookware, electric coffee maker, french press, electric tea kettle, sharp knives and more.
- Bathroom features a jacuzzi tub, and is fully stocked with fresh towels, toiletries, and other essentials to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
- Office / small library has loaded bookshelves, a dedicated work space, and high speed internet.
- Separate dining room with table that seats four. Perfect for a meal, puzzle, or games.
- Full-size washer and dryer are available for guest use, with laundry detergent provided.

All are welcome, including well-behaved dogs and cats. (Please note that yard is private, but not fully fenced.)

If the season is right you are welcome to pick apples, raspberries, pears, or herbs for your enjoyment. As conscientious stewards, we don't use pesticides or other chemicals.

Birders take note! This home is just minutes from the Skagit flats (a renowned birding destination - see map in pics.)

This is an unusually private, quiet and peaceful place to relax and restore while still in close proximity to all that nearby Edison, Bellingham, and Anacortes have to offer.

- Public beach access 1.7 miles away.
- You'll cross the Samish Flats on the way here, a world-renowned birding destination!

The TV is a streaming TV with various apps. Netflix is available to all guests. You can also sign into other apps (HBO, Apple TV, Prime, Hulu) with your own account. (Be sure to sign out of your account upon departure.)
