Where you’ll be

Neustadt an der Weinstraße, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany

The small village lies friendly, dreamy in a sea of vines nestled in the climate-favorable belt between the Rhine plain and the Palatinate Forest, on the edge of the so-called "Gäu", a typical Palatinate field, meadow and wine landscape with lots of rural idyll.
Duttweiler is known for its award-winning characteristic wines and sects from the 195 hectares of vineyards "Kreuzberg", "Kalkberg" and "Mandelberg". Valuable loess and clay soils allow a variety of grape varieties such as Müller-Thurgau, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Silvaner, Gewürztraminer and red wines such as Portugieser, Dornfelder and Dunkelfelder to thrive. The favourable climate in the shade of the Palatinate Forest offers the ideal conditions for the growth of large wines. The traditional festival in August with a lot of Palatinate cheerfulness is a highlight in the calendar of the Palatinate wine festivals and one of the oldest festivals of this kind ever. Duttweiler is an ideal base for cycling trips especially in the plain and is well connected with the Palatinate network of cycle paths.
