Great location; on the Canal St. streetcar line, but out of the hustle and bustle of the Quarter. Some cute restaurants and bars nearby as well as Walgreens. The Inn is spacious, warm, welcoming. Our room was just right for a Mom and teenager on the road. We had a fabulous time.

Lindsay's place is very nice, I like the friendly environment and most of it was the bar and restaurant at less than 5 minutes walking. The house is very clean and Lindsay is an a very cool person .

There were so many things we loved about staying at Lindsey's place: The community feel, the decor, comfortable, lots of space, great location, great hosts, and great value. Lindsey took the time to have a warm conversation with me about the city (past and present), and she gave us good recommendations for restaurants and other points of interest. We really could not have asked for better. I feel very fortunate, and will definitely be trying to book with her again for future visits!

The Okra Inn is an amazing place to stay and Lindsay is a superb host. The location is a great place to stay when visiting New Orleans as it provides a safe place to stay in a nice part of town which allows for easy access to multiple parts of New Orleans (ie. City Park, French Quarter, CBD, Garden District, etc.) I was able to get on a street car or walk to many parts of town which I thoroughly enjoyed. The property itself is also wonderful. The home is very beautiful and comfortable. Nice and cool from the AC with lots of ceiling fans to keep you cool from the hot weather outside. It is very spacious and having access to a nice big kitchen and living room was great! Little things like the ice machine in the fridge was a bonus. I stayed in the double room and it was very tidy, spacious and with comfortable beds. Lindsay was a great host, a very kind and sociable person and informative with great information regarding the city. She was also very flexible and accommodating to my requests and super helpful to me when I had any special requests. If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. This was a great experience and a real bargain. I would highly recommend staying at the Okra Inn and will hopefully be doing so myself again in the near future.
