Ether Main House consists of a three bedroom family home (adjoining a separate cottage booked separately.) North-facing, set in a large indigenous garden, overlooking the back of Table Mountain and the Orangekloof Nature Reserve with exquisite views and sunsets. Nearby is Constantia with many restaurants and wine farms. Within a short drive are beaches and the village center of Hout Bay with groceries, shops, and other attractions.

The space
Over half an acre of grounds to explore, rich in indigenous flora, the garden attracts a lot of birdlife. We are surrounded by mountains and there are many walks and hikes, of varying difficulties, in the area.

The main house has three bedrooms. Bedroom three (downstairs) has a TV with Netflix enabled. It has access to a bathroom with shower, bath and toilet. There are two bedrooms upstairs - the main bedroom with en-suite shower and toilet and a balcony with breath taking views. The second upstairs bedroom has two bunk beds. The house living areas have an open plan with fully equipped kitchen flowing to the dining area, living area and out to the deck. There is a gas braai (bbq) on the deck along with a traditional wood/charcoal braai at the gazebo. There is a TV in Bedroom 3 with Netflix and uncapped high speed wifi throughout.

Hi, I'm an American citizen (originally from Omaha) living in S.Africa for 15 years now and probably staying for awhile longer. I'm an architect and green building consultant. Every year my husband and I visit the US to see family and friends and a little bit if the country, thus we travel a bit and like to stay in AirBnB accommodation when we are not staying with family. Our travel philosophy is to look for more authentic and of-a-place experiences, thus staying in non-hotels is always much more interesting.
