This home belied the general impression of Queenstown as a place of shanty houses and after the easy walk to and from the shops and pub, we agreed that we had chosen very well. This comfortable, spacious house nestled under the hill in a quiet deadend street, opposite a fern-lined creek, has good parking for cars beside the house. It was immaculately clean and cosy warm on a very wet Spring weekend and had everything our group of five needed aside from wifi. The wood fired heater is very efficient, there was plenty of dry wood provided and the fire had been lit to welcome us. TV reception was excellent for the AFL grand final. One bedroom is downstairs, the others are on the second floor, main bathroom is downstairs but the shower has a high step up and upstairs has an ensuite only entered through a bedroom. We had a great stay.

Jo is a very flexible and generous host. The drive into Queenstown takes you through a stunning moonscape, read about it before you go. We only stayed for a night but appreciated the warm fire and had everything we needed.

A wonderful spot. Much better than any hotel. A lovely surprise to find the fire lit and milk and bread waiting. Fantastically warm and comfortable over the cool days we were there. Well equipped with everything we needed. Loved sitting by the fire each night. 5 bedrooms. One downstairs and 4 upstairs and 2 living rooms would make it a great family base to explore the west coast.

Jo's place is a great house for large numbers -a good mix of private and common spaces. The house was clean & tidy & facilities all very adequate. Jo had organised for the fire to be going when we arrived -a lovely & much appreciated gesture. Our only caution would be the advertised hot tub; it appears this hasn't actually been available for a long time, however we could find no mention of this and it was an anticipated highlight for our group -hence there was much disappointment to find it unavailable.

Thank you, we are happy you enjoyed your stay. Welcome back anytime. The hot tub has not been advertised for over a year, it was never included in your booking as was explained to you, it was only spotted on arrival..

We live on Bruny Island in Tasmania's South East. We love to travel back to our home West Coast Bed and Breakfast often as we love the wilderness of the West Coast. We don't get to go there often as we have 9 children at home.
