Come experience TINY HOME living SILO STYLE on a family owned Missouri Farm... complete with Nigerian Dwarf goats, miniature donkeys, cows, chickens and more.

The space
The silo apartment has a full kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, stove, and some utensils and pans. There is a justification coffee maker along with a selection of coffee, tea, and other beverage pods for you to enjoy. The silo has its own onsite bathroom in the unit. The bathroom has a shower, linens, and hair dryer for guests to use. There is a queen size bed in the loft and a futon that expands into a double bed on the ground level. The silo will comfortably sleep four people. Please use caution as you ascend and descend the staircase. It was made to fit the space and it is narrow.

Guest access
Guest check-in is flexible. The silo will be ready for registered guests on their arrival. We live on the farm and are available. Please do not hesitate to call on us for anything that you might need. Guests are welcome to sit on the patio or on our big wrap around porch. The animals are over behind the farm house. They love visitors. We have fishing available in our pond and we have poles for you to borrow. We also have a fire pit and charcoal grill for camp cooking. We have bikes that can be rented if you are interested in riding the Katy Trail.

We live in a very historic and cultural area. Sedalia, only 12 miles away, was a railroad town. A man named George Smith was responsible for coaxing the railroads to come. The town became huge success and many businesses made their way to Sedalia. Scott Joplin frequented our little town and his Rag Time legacy is celebrated every June. A visit to historic downtown Sedalia and Bothwell Lodge just north of town is a must see.

Windsor which is about 10 miles south of Green Ridge has a fairly large Amish population and culture.

The Katy Trail which was once part of a busy railroad system is now the longest continuous hiking and bicycling trail in the country. Our little farm is only 2 1/2 miles from the trail. On nice summer days we watch bikers ride by our farm.

We are only 15 minutes from Whitman Airforce Base, home of the B2 Stealth Bombers.

Cole camp which is only 30 minutes away is a little German town. It hosts German festivals throughout the year. Some of the best German food in our area can be found in Cole Camp.

Hi my name is Wendy. My husband Doug and I live on an old dairy farm just outside of town. We have 5 children. Four of them are in college. The fifth is in 8th grade. We are excited about getting a chance to travel.
During your stay
We live in the big white farmhouse right on the property. We are as available as you would like us to be. We usually show animal lovers around the farm and let them feed animals. We offer shopping and projects on our farm. We show guests who are interested how to milk goats when we have milking goats available. We are always happy to visit.
