10 km from town, the bungalow offers complete seclusion amidst nature. The only sounds you’ll hear are the rustling leaves, chirping birds (15 varieties seen), and the occasional drizzle turning the whole estate into a green, misty wonderland.

The space
This private Coffee Estate Retreat includes a charming 3-bedroom bungalow that sits gently atop natural rock formations, offering you a rare blend of rustic beauty and refined comfort. Surrounded by acres of lush coffee plants, pepper vines, and towering trees, *Bungalow on the Rocks* is your peaceful getaway—whether you're a family looking to reconnect or a group of friends seeking nature with a touch of luxury. Our place is ideal for larger groups (from 4-8 guests), for just couples or nuclear families on a lower budget we recommend our other cottage (please see other properties listed by me).
The Space

Good to Know
* Home-cooked meals can be arranged with advance notice.
* There is ample parking and basic housekeeping can be provided for longer stays.
* Wi-Fi is available throughout the home — but we encourage you to slow down and soak in the quiet.

Guest access
Guests can walk/trek throughout the estate early in the morning and get some good exercise.
Please note that BSNL is the only network that works well. Airtel, Vodafone and Jio too are available but the coverage is spotty.
Guests will not be be provided access to the kitchen. We have made exceptions in the past for families with small children. But please ask for this up front. In case cooking requirement is a "must have" please do consider other properties. (A better idea is to let it be a holiday and actually enjoy your stay).
Rooms will be provided based on number of guests. One room will be provided for every 2 guests. We have done this to make the place affordable for smaller groups and charge larger groups for the extra space that is available. Rest assured that you will be the only guest in the bungalow, whether you book for 1 guest or 8 guests.
Other things to note
Re: Food
Breakfast is provided as part of the package, but for those who need arrangements for lunch or dinner - advance notice is required. Also need to let me know about veg/non-veg preference. This needs to be done ahead of time, as this is not a full time restaurant/hotel - and food would need to be purchased as required. (eg. if the non-vegetarian in you craves the famous pandi curry).
Charge is Rs. 275 for non-veg (Coorg specialty of Pandi curry on request only with advance notice as we have to procure it from a specific shop for good quality - Rs.300/- per meal ). Rs. 250 per head for veg.
Our guests typically eat out - since they are sight seeing or going for various activities anyways. These are typical home cooked meals - so nothing fancy. (unless you want something fancy - you will have to let us know :).
Lunch will be served latest by 2PM
Dinner will be served at 9 PM. If you request a meal and are not able to make it - you will be charged for the meal. Hope you understand - we do not run a restaurant where there is 24 x 7 service. Its a homestay :-)
Note re: insects/smoking:
Our property is surrounded by lush greenery, so you may occasionally encounter insects, leeches, bees, geckos, or other small creatures. Please reach out to the caretaker if you need any assistance.
Smoking is NOT ALLOWED INSIDE the bungalow. However, there are acres and acres of coffee plantation that will absorb your smoke - so please feel free to smoke outside. Guests found smoking will be charged a cleaning free of Rs. 1000/-
Note re: Power outages
For all you city lovers, please be aware that we have to live with power outages especially when there are heavy rains. We are used to it and we have a UPS for this to cover all our rooms. Beyond the UPS we have a Kirloskar back up generator that powers the property. When there are incessant rains some times power is out for days in a row as it takes time to get things repaired. We will power on the generator till 9 PM so that the UPS gets charged and lasts for 4-6 hours based on usage. However if you require the generator beyond the said hours, we will run it for you at the rate of Rs. 400 per hour (as this is the cost of operating the generator - 4 liters of diesel is consumed per hour).
