Our expansive 2500 sq ft cabin is nestled in the hillside off of Riverside Dr., in fact, it is built into the rocks and mountain; some of the rooms have exposed rock. Our cabin (c. 1920) is well appointed with all the comforts of home, including Wifi, landline, and Dish. You will have your own entry and plenty of privacy. In the Spring and summer, listen to the roaring Middle St. Vrain river across the street while sitting on the front patio.

The space
Our Lodge is a unique and special space. It was once called the Riverside Lodge Resort and has a great history. The neighbors still refer to it as the Lodge. There have been many updates, including hot water baseboard heat, gas converted stove, corn burning stove and updated lighting.
And of course, running water.

Where you’ll be

Lyons, Colorado, United States

468 Riverside Drive was once a booming lodge and resort. Built in 1920, The Riverside Lodge was the place where city folk came to eat, drink, read, dance and socialize. The resort consisted of the Lodge and many different cabins along the river; the original cast iron oven/stove is still here and works.
We have managed to find some awesome postcards and pictures, that you will see throughout the home.

We are central Estes Park, Eldora, and Lyons, all being about 20-30 minutes away. The homes on Riverside are either vacation homes or residential properties. The neighbors are very helpful and friendly.

Originally from Dallas, Texas, I am the father of four children (all in college), and the husband to my best friend and love of my life. I retired from 30 years of coaching basketball last year. I am excited for my new adventure as a host for our 100 year old cabin. We have a menagerie of animals, the newest is Spartacus, a Bernese Mountain dog puppy. My wife, Beth, is a native Boulderite and is a nurse, student and Director at the local community hospital in Boulder, Colorado. Beth and I are excited to invite you to experience our cool cabin in the hills of Roosevelt National Park on the St. Vrain River.
