Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
A delightful, cosy Grade Two listed cottage built 300 years ago in the heart of this historical village with it's 12th Century Church, Manor House and Rectory. Just steps away from the beauty spot of Buriton Pond and close access to the stunning walks of the the South Downs Way. There's a cosy wood burning stove in Winter and a sunny terrace for morning coffee in the Summer. I like to make my guests welcome and relaxed but also respect their peace and privacy.

The space
The cottage is very old. Please expect charm and atmosphere rather than luxury. I pride myself on it's old world character, interesting artifacts and pretty, clean and tidy rooms rather than hotel standard Mod Cons. There is no TV in the bedroom and the stairs are steep and uneven. Don't book unless you love the idea of romance and peace!

Guests can easily walk from the cottage to the Queen Elizabeth Country Park or join the South Downs Way. Nearby is Butser Hill with it's stunning views (on a clear day you can see the sea!) and the Butser Ancient Farm. Petersfield, the historic market town is a ten minute drive away with trains into London taking one hour. West Wittering beach and Chichester Harbour is approx 40 minutes drive and ferries to the Isle Of Wight a 25 minute drive. The very beautiful Meon Valley with its charming ancient villages is also minutes away.

During your stay
I love meeting new people but am very keen for my guests to feel relaxed and private. I am more than willing to share my knowledge of the areas beauty spots and great country pubs and walks but would never impinge if people wish to be left alone. I have a busy life but would always be delighted to make suggestions or answer questions.
